It’s Too Late To Get A Divorce
Chapter 51
Turning t
her body, Alita saw the person standing in the ward, and she stood up in astonishment. âSamuel!â
Samuel wore a light-colored suit, with a handsome and refined face, tall and elegant, polite and courteous. His temperament made people feel comfortable.
âAre you so surprised to see me?â He walked over, completely ignoring Jaydon, and affectionately hugged Alita.
Jaydonâs expression changed instantly. His eyes darkened, a sign of his anger.
âArenât you in Ocraolia? When did you come back?â Alita asked with a smile, looking at Samuel, who always had a gentle smile.
âThe matter of Jaydon being bitten by a snake has spread at home and in the company. I knew about it from a phone call, so I took a plane back right away. I just met my siblings downstairs Samuel said, and the warm smile remained on his face, never fading.
Samuel was the only person in the Lewis family whom Jaydon couldnât see through. It seemed like he was born without anger, which made Jaydon more vigilant.
âSo thatâs it. Samuel, please sit. Let me get you
et you some water.â Alita turned to pour water. She felt warm seeing him.
âDonât rush.â Samuel held her hand, expressing concern. âYouâre still very weak. Sit down.
âAlright, Alita smiled and sat down.
Samuel, with a smile, asked, âJaydon, how do you feel?â
âAre you also fond of preliminaries? You came all the way from Ocraolia to see me. Iâm moved to tears, Jaydon said, smirking with a tone of sarcasm.
Even an idiot could tell that his words were not kind. It was more of a mockery.
Samuel lowered his head with a smile and then looked up again. âWeâre family, and itâs normal.â
Alita couldnât help but roll her eyes at Jaydon. Samuel came to visit him with good intentions, but Jaydon was being
sarcastic.
âSamuel, when are you planning to go back to Ocraolia this timeâ Alita changed the topic, trying to ease the atmosphere.
âAfter attending Annabelâs engagement banquet. Besides, Grandpaâs health is getting worse day by day. I hope to spend more time with him. So, I probably wonât go back for a short time,â Samuel calmly said.
âWell, thatâs good.â Alita nodded.
Jaydon, lying on the bed, suddenly laughed, âSamuel, youâve planned all this. In such a critical time, if you donât perform well in front of Grandpa, you might inherit one less share of the inheritance.â
âJaydon.â Alita couldnât help raising her voice.
âWhat are you shouting for? Do you want to deafen my ears? Jaydon suddenly frowned, and his anger was evident.
In front of Samuel, Alita didnât want to argue with him, so she restrained her anger and calmly said, âI didnât shout. You must be tired Stop talking so much and go to sleep.â
âSleep?â Jaydon raised his eyebrows. âSamuel is back, and youâre so happy that youâve forgotten I just woke up?â

It was only now that Alita remembered that he had just woken up.
âThen close your eyes and rest,â she suggested.
âClosing my eyes in front of guests.
Wouldnât that be too rude?â Jaydonâs eyes became even colder as he said with a touch of
sarcasm.
