Chapter 28
Mistaken Marriage, Unexpected Love
Isaac merely nodded without breaking his stride.
Once he was gone, Stevie hurried over to Robin's side and whispered, âAre you sure this will work?â
Robin scoffed. âNo matter how cold-hearted he is, he is still a man with natural needs and desires. How can he remain
unaffected in the presence of such a beautiful woman? At the very least, his body would react and tell him what he truly wants.
His heart will eventually keep up in time.â
But the butler wasnât convinced.
âWe both know how volatile his temper is. Iâm sure heâs already figured out that you set them up tonight.â
âWell, how do you expect them to fall in love if they donât spend some time together? He may not listen to me when he is out and
about, but in this mansion, my word is the law.â Robin was huffing indignantly, but he did feel a pang of guilt for his machinations.
â| donât have much time left,â he added in a more serious tone. âHe needs to have someone beside him, someone to take care of
him.
âOf course. Iâm certain that the young master will come to understand your good intentions.â
Robin grabbed his cane, and Stevie helped him retire to his room.
In Isaac's bedroom.
Camila couldnât refuse when Stevie had brought her here.
âThis is Isaacâs childhood bedroom,â he had told her.
âIt has been redecorated once.â
The room's decor was vastly different from the ones at the villa. This one had a dark interior; everything was black or gray.
Camila imagined that even the meager beam of sunlight through the window would not be enough to brighten the air in this
room.
She let her eyes wander around, and they ultimately landed on a dainty little box sitting on a shelf. It stood out like a sore thumb,
mainly because it looked like something a girl would own, not a cold young man.
Camila stepped closer and reached out to take a Look.
âWhat are you doing?â A cold voice suddenly came from behind her.
Camila was so startled that she jumped, accidentally knocking the box off the shelf. It fell on the floor with a resounding thud.
Isaac shot her a murderous glare.
Camila immediately panicked, knowing that she had messed up.
â sorry. | didnât mean to... It was an accident.â
She was already bending over to retrieve the box. But before she could even touch it, Isaac grabbed her hand in a painful grip.
Camila winced in pain, her face and neck breaking out in cold sweat. His hold was so tight that for a moment, Camila feared he
would break her bones.
âDon't touch it with your filthy hands!â Isaac roared, his eyes burning with rage.
He forcefully threw Camila aside, causing her to fall back and hit her head against the corner of a nearby cabinet.
