Chapter 506
Mistaken Marriage, Unexpected Love
âThank you, Glenda,â Camila said gratefully.
Glenda set out to arrange a room for Laura.
By now, Laura had calmed down a little.
âAre you okay?â Camila asked with concern.
âNo,â Laura said bluntly, sniffling pitifully.
âWhat happened?â Camila asked with a sigh.
Laura didnât intend to hide anything from her friend. After all, Camila knew what had happened between her and Forrest.
âDid you know that Forrest went to the tea house earlier for a blind date?â
Angelaâs Library
âYeah, he told me.â Locking eyes with Laura, she asked carefully, âDid he botch the blind date because of you?â
âYes.â Laura smiled bitterly.
âForrest said that | was his girlfriend in front of that girl. Thinking that she had been fooled, she called Forrest's mom on the spot.
Things went from bad to worse...â
Camila could only imagine how badly it went.
âAnd then what happened? Howâd you end up in his house? Did you tell him the truth?â Camila asked with concern
After a long silence, Laura said in a voice barely above a whisper, âHe knows.â
âYou two love each other very much. Now that he knows the truth, he wonât let you go. You donât know how depressed he has
been these days He drowns himself in alcohol every day, and he has lost a lot of weight. Donât you feel sorry for him?â
Laura wasnât oblivious to this. Forrest used to be so lively and cheerful. She couldnât bear to see him become so depressed
either.
But now, his mother hated her even more. Forrest's mother used to think that Laura was from a poor family and didnât deserve
him. Now, Laura broke her promise to her. Nobody liked a promise-breaker.
She had promised to leave Forrest, but she was found coming back to him now.
Once again, she was faced with a difficult choice.
It was no secret that Forrest's mother hated her.
Camila sighed and reached out to pat Lauraâs hand.
âDonât worry. | know that you'll be able to convince Forrestâs mom that youâre more than enough for her son. And Iâm sure Forrest
will take your side. His mother will have no choice but to learn to accept you.â
Laura, on the other hand, was not so optimistic.
She could still remember how angry his mother was at that time.
