Chapter 912
Mistaken Marriage, Unexpected Love
He added, âYour hospital is powerful. You managed to resolve the issue without my help. I was
considering hiring someone to provide false testimony that you didnât push her. Nonetheless, since
there are no cameras in the stairway, even if she alleges that you pushed her, Iâll find someone to prove
that you didnât. In any case, she lacks evidence to substantiate her claim and she canât refute the false
testimony.â
Hearing this, Camila was on the verge of rolling her eyes at him. She asked skeptically, âIs that your
solution?â âYes, isnât it good?â Jaylen replied confidently.
âItâs not good, Iâm afraid. Your mother was discharged from the ICU today. Sheâs recuperated well but
she requires attentive care. Youâll have to take good care of her,â Camila informed.
Jaylen expressed gratitude, saying, âI understand. Thank you.â

âIâm a doctor. You donât need to thank me, itâs my job
Jaylen interjected, âNo, I wanted to repay you by helping you resolve the problem with Debora but I
wasnât very helpful. I owe you a favor since you saved my motherâs life. How about we grab dinner
tonight?â
âIâm busy,â Camila declined directly.
Jaylen persisted, âIf you donât agree, Iâll continue to pester you every day.â
Camila was left speechless. She questioned, âAre you insane?â
She then turned and departed, issuing a warning to Jaylen, âDonât follow me. Itâll impede my work. If
you genuinely want to thank me, steer clear of me.â
Jaylen was crestfallen. Was he that unwelcome? Did she despise him so much?
âCamila, Iâm not a dog. I donât bite!â he called after her.
Camila hastened her pace to evade him.
If she reached the operating room, he wouldnât be able to bother her. The surgery she performed was
crucial and lasted seven hours
Once she emerged from the operating room, she was exhausted.
She sat in a chair and guzzled water.
Josiah came over and sat beside her.
âAlthough youâre young, youâre the most gifted student Iâve ever encountered. Your future is promising.â
She expressed her gratitude as she placed the water down, stating, âThank you for your guidance.â
Josiah earnestly responded, âNo, even though I have taught you much, if you lack the ability, this
arduous operation cannot be accomplished. I wasnât wrong putting faith in your capability.â
She slightly lowered her head, replying with a heartfelt âThank you,â overwhelmed with happiness for
his acknowledgment.
Josiah encouraged her with a pat on the shoulder, âDonât become complacent, my student. Keep up the
hard work and soon youâll be a renowned doctor.â
Camila assured him of her dedication, determined to put in more effort. She stretched for a moment,
anticipating the end of her workday. Jaylen appeared again.
âAllow me to drive you home.â
