Escaping my arranged marriage with Alpha Prescott Chapter 20
Escaping my arranged marriage with Alpha Prescott by J Belladonna
Chapter 20
Matilda
âI hate this b*tch.â Avery told me after sitting on the bed. âBut I like the way Prescott threw her out of your room and asked to even change the bedsheet. I like him. He cares about you.â
My little sister didnât know that it was just for the show because he wanted to make his father believe that we were so in love.
âAlpha should have thrown her out of the pack,â Serena chimed in.
âI donât care,â I shrugged. I wanted to kill that wh*re. Serena told me what happened. Prescott didnât even look at her or touch her even though she was lying on the floor unconsciously. I liked how he respected me and more than that, I liked how she had egg on her face after trying to seduce my mate.
Serena dressed her up and Caleb helped her to carry her out of the bathroom. I had a feeling that something was going on between them but Serena told me that she hated him. The way Caleb looked at her and they bickered, I knew that he loved her.
After gossiping for a while, my girls left to have dinner. Prescott preferred us to have dinner alone. Less time for the public show..
Distant footprints collided with the floor and I heightened my guards, putting myself on high alert.
âThe pack is under attack,â Beta Caleb informed me after knocking on my door and I sighed, feeling disappointed.
My wolf wanted to see Alpha Prescott. I was waiting for my beast to join me for dinner. I had noticed in the past few nights that if I had taken my dinner before him, he wouldnât
take dinner alone.
âWhat? Iâm also coming to fight,â I told Caleb and brought my sword out of my cupboard which Prescott had brought here after I had escaped. Avery told me that he had taken a couple of things of mine on the night of our wedding.
He was determined to make me come back to him.
âAlpha has prohibited you from getting out of your room and sent me here to protect you,â Caleb said before locking the door.
âOpen the damn door, Caleb,â I shouted indignantly, banging on the door vigorously. âCaleb, Caleb. Donât force me to use my command.â

Chapter 20
âAlpha will kill me if I let you go. If you want me dead, youâre more than welcome to use your command,â Caleb said nonchalantly.
âDonât play these tricks on me. Iâll use my command, Caleb,â I threatened him knowing all too well that my command wouldnât work properly since he wasnât in front of me.
He turned a deaf ear to my screams but I wasnât going to sit in my room like any piece of jewellery that needed protection. I could protect myself very well; tonight, I will prove it to him.
Tell your freak Alpha that Iâm the Queen. He canât lock me inside when my duty calls me on the battlefield,â I let out a loud growl.
âPlease, donât disrespect Alpha. He is doing it for your own good. Rogues have come for you,â his Beta defended him.
My mate had such a loyal Beta that I couldnât blame him for following his stupid Alphaâs orders. âBut why do rogues want to kill me? Why are they after me?â I asked him further.
âAlpha is trying to figure that shit out,â he replied with frustration. There was no denying the fact that everyone hated the rogues. Those bloody wolves had steered up a mayhem.
The only packs that werenât attacked by the rogues were the Blood Moon pack and the Lunar pack.
If they had come for me, they would have to deal with me. I clutched my sword and looked out of my window. My wolf was strong enough not to get injured by the high jumps. With agility beyond human limits, I leaped from my window, my powerful muscles propelling me into the night.
Gravity seemed to hesitate, as I landed unscathed by the fall. The ethereal glow accentuated my feral elegance, as my wolfâs golden eyes gleamed with determination.
A howl echoed in the distance, triggering my primal instincts. I prowled into the shadows, sensing at least, three rogues in that direction.
A rogue leaped in the air and launched himself at me but I raised my sword in the air and it pierced through his chest, causing his dead b*dy to fall on the ground. A loud sound resonated in the air when he collapsed to the ground.
There was something different in these rogues. They didnât smell as d*rty as they usually did and they had a strange power. I could feel their powerful aura though they were just rogues. The rogues gained this power from somewhere else. It wasnât a common trait among the rogues to carry such a strong aura.

âThat bich is here,â one of them yelled out, and I found myself hemmed in on all sides by four rogues.
Their number expanded as I found myself surrounded by more and more rogues. Caleb was right. I was their target. The distant growls and howls were coming from the north while I was standing in the south.
They were coming here, leaving the battle. I pulled my sword out of the rogueâs heart I just killed and walked in circles slowly with heightened guards. I was outnumbered but they needed to know that I was the Alpha Queen and they couldnât kill me.
Swinging my sword, I jumped in the air to push my sword through one of their heads. The others started attacking me from all directions and a thunderous growl made them jerk in their position. The delicious oak scent of my mate filled my nostrils. I turned to see him standing in his wolf form like the rogues. I was the only one standing in my human form, I didnât get the time to shift before so I immediately shifted and held the sword in my mouth.
âYouâre so rebellious, arenât you?â Prescottâs voice rang in my ear.
âIâm not some Luna who would wait for her Alpha to protect her. Iâm the Alpha Queen and itâs my duty to protect the others, I retorted back while taking two of them.
He was fighting with two wolves at a time which I found a se*y view.
âYouâre insane, Tila. For once, you could try listening to me,â he said in an irritated tone.
I rolled my eyes before killing another rogue whose sharp scream was the last thing I
heard.
âYou should have thought before making your Beta my guard. I can protect myself. I â« need no one to protect me,â I taunted before swinging my sword again. Dad had made
sure since childhood that I participated in training sessions and trained me hard enough to protect myself in any kind of situation.
âYour Uncle is crazy enough to think that he could abduct you from here. No one can touch you in my pack under my watch,â he asserted with unwavering confidence.
My wolf wanted to lick him and taste him. The way he was so protective of us, she liked
I looked around myself to find Uncle Liam but he was nowhere to be found. He didnât come himself.
