Escaping my arranged marriage with Alpha Prescott by J Belladonna
Chapter 7
Prescott
âAlpha,â Phoebe bowed and stood before me. âPeople are talking. Theyâre questioning if she is the true Queen or not. She has just beauty, not the power the royals are supposed to have.â
âNo f u**ing one gets to question my mate and I couldnât give a f*ck about what they think,â I growled at her, clenching my fists.
âI think you should consider your peopleâs opinion,â Phoebe dared to open her f u*king mouth again though kept her head lowered to her feet.
A ferocious growl erupted through my chest. âI donât care what you think. Now, get lost before I lose my temper, and learn to shut your mouth.â
Phoebe didnât wait a second longer and disappeared from my sight for her own good. I wasnât the kind of Alpha who listened to his people. My people listened to me and trusted my decisions because they had seen this pack growing from the dead under my leadership. They knew that there was no one else who cared about them more than me.
âThe throne ceremony isnât finished yet, her fainting isnât due to a st upid rejection process,â my father ambled toward me with a smirk on his face.
Now thatâs the reason why I listen to him. He knew the things about the royals and history better than anyone, even the books.
âWhat should we do, then?â I raised a brow, crossing my arms across my chest and fixating my gaze on her beautiful face.
She was the most gorgeous she-wolf. When she k*ssed me, I could smell her lavender scent which ignited sparks in my b*dy.
âWe need to find her family and then, we should pray to the Goddess that the throne accepts both of you as the new King and Queen,â Dad explained, patting my shoulder. âDonât worry, son. Sheâll wake up soon. Her powers are awakening I guess.â
I nodded my head before walking toward her and cupped her face. My thumb traced her bottom l*p and my wolf started howling in my mind with joy. Even for a chosen. mate, my wolf showed amazing excitement and hunger that he never had for any
woman.
âMom,â she abruptly woke up and started huffing as if she had run miles.

Pulling her closer in my arms, I caressed her back and tried to calm her down. âYouâll see her soon, I promise you, Tila.â

âI hope she is alive,â Matilda broke into a so b. âShe was trying to tell me something but before she could speak, a big wolf attacked her.â
My father left silently, after getting convinced that I genuinely cared for her. To my bewilderment, I wasnât even acting, I genuinely wanted to help her. Motherâs love was something that I missed the most but I wanted her to have that so I will do anything to make it happen.
âShe will be alright, Tila. Relax, calm down,â pecking a k*ss on her hair and cheeks, I climbed into the bed and she put her head on my shoulder.
I gently massaged her shoulders till she got cozy and fell asleep in his arms.
âHe refuses to divulge anything about the Queenâs family. He insists on speaking only with the Queen,â the ba sta rd isnât opening his mouth about the Queenâs family,â Jericho sent me the link, and a profound scowl formed on my face.
Motherfu**er. He had the audacity to demand in my land.
âMy mate wonât meet him. Iâm coming to torture him and extract the information. She deserves to be reunited with her family, I instructed him before disconnecting the link.
Placing her head gently back on the pillow, I receded to the dungeon where Gabriel and his mistress were held captive.
âMy gun,â I stretched my hand and Jericho put it in my palm before we exchanged a glance and the corners of our mouth twitched into a nasty smirk.
âW⦠What are y.. you doing, Prescott?â Gabriel shuddered after I shot the gun, aiming at his feet.
âAlpha King. Thatâs how you should address me now, scu mbag,â I seethed and bared my fangs at him.
He shrieked and jumped like a coward he was. âKill me but I wonât tell you where her family is. I want to talk to Matilda and Iâll tell her only.â
I grabbed his throat and choked him. Soon he started giving up on his stubbornness and begged me to stop.
âI donât like to repeat myself. Tell me, where are you keeping her family? I know theyâre alive.â I threw him across the wall and his pathetic b*dy fell to the ground with a thud.
âNo, Gabriel. You canât tell them,â Isabel chimed in, encouraging him to hide about where they were.
âShut the f*ck up, bit*h,â I snarled and she pressed her l*ps into a thin line. She didnât dare speak a word under my command and lowered her head in submission.
Chapirt?
âThere is a tunnel beneath the packhouse of the Lunar pack. I kept them there in at prison,â Gabriel spilled hastily, not wasting another minute after seeing the worst of me.
I wouldnât even flinch before killing him. I would rather enjoy shredding him to pieces. for the pain he caused Matilda.
âIâll go there myself with some men to bring them here, Alpha,â Jericho understood the task before even I assigned him to it. After living with me for years, they had learned what to do and when to do it.
All of my men were my pillar support and the power that I earned. Jericho and Caleb were the only ones who knew everything about me. They were my most trusted men and more like brothers to me.
I nodded in approval and he immediately left.
âYou f u*king piece of s hit,â I spat at Gabriel who was throwing daggers at me even after begging me to leave him. He didnât deserve to live.
âShe will never love you. Her heart belongs to me. Only me,â he started chucking, getting on my nerves.
âIâll f ucking kill you, as hole,â I threatened him through gritted teeth before punching him square in the face.
âNo, Prescott. Please, no,â Matilda came out of the blue and stopped me from beating the sh it out of him. Her stopping me from killing him enraged me.
Was she that stu pid to still love the man who cheated on her and imprisoned her family?
