Prescott
A jerk of electricity coursed through my b*dy and I was thrown back against the other side of the wall. My back collided with the wall and I saw Sheldonâs b*dy emitting a blinding light, his hands moving swiftly while chanting something and transforming into Lolaâs b*dy.
Holy f uck. It was Lola, not Sheldon.
âYou will pay for this, you f ucking bit ch,â her voice echoed in the room and Matilda was swiftly propelled aside by an abrupt surge of power from Lola.
âTila,â I screamed, immediately running to her side and putting her head in my lap.
âMy baby,â Tila whispered, holding her stomach. Tears welled up in her eyes from the pain she was in. Lolaâ
powers had forced her b*dy to smash into the corner of the bed which hit her belly. severely.
âI swear to the Moon Goddess, if anything happens to my mate or pups, I will kill you with my own hands,â I growled ferociously, throwing daggers at the woman whom I had known since childhood but at that moment, she seemed like a stranger to me. Or worse, a wicked witch who didnât have a heart.
A smirk tugged at her l*ps as she tsked, walking towards us with her hands crossed across her chest. âPoor Alpha Queen⦠Poor King, couldnât even recognize me. Did you really think that Dylan would let you go so easily? And well, you have my mother so itâs only fair if I have yours,â she spat, glaring at my mate.
Matilda didnât speak anything, she was writhing in pain and I could do nothing to help her. I had to drive back to our pack, that was the only way to save our pups and her.
âCapture this bi tch and make sure that she doesnât vanish into the thin air with her magic, I commanded my Beta whose scent I could smell coming closer. He was already on his way to us.
âI will deal with you later, Lola but remember that youâre going to pay for this with your blood. An eye for an eye and blood for blood,â I barked through clenched teeth before motioning Caleb to seize her.
âDonât touch me,â she threatened my Beta and tried to use her magic but Matilda threw a wave of her power towards her, and Lola screamed in agony.
âTake this and keep it with you. It wouldnât let you be enchanted by her spells,â Tila spoke in a low voice, giving her n*ecklace to Caleb who nodded his head and wore it instantly.
If we wanted to keep Lola, we had to make sure that Caleb wouldnât get affected by her spells or witchcraft. Silver wouldnât hurt her as much as it hurt us because she was a hybrid and wolfsbane⦠I wasnât sure about it either as I hadnât tried it on her yet.
After putting Matilda in the passenger seat, I sat in the driverâs seat whilst Jericho helped put Camilla in the backseat in Averyâs lap. Caleb, Lola, and Serena drove together while I drove us back to our pack.

I mind-linked Zach to prepare the emergency room for my mate as soon as we neared our packâs territories and the mind-linkâs range was available. Thankfully, Matilda wasnât bleeding but her womb had been injured badÅy so the doctors were trying to stop the injury from spreading further.
I was pacing outside the emergency ward. Zach stopped me from being inside because the doctors couldnât treat her well properly in my presence. They felt intimidated and pressured because of my Alpha aura which I couldnât control well when I was so f ucking worried about my mate and pups.
Goddess, if you exist, please, save my family. They didnât do anything wrong to deserve such punishment. If you want to kill someone, kill me but not them.
âPrescott,â Dad said, placing his hand on my shoulder and I threw my arms over his shoulder.
âDad, my pups and mate,â I muttered, holding him tightly, fearing the worst.
âNothing will happen to them, son. Donât worry,â he tried to comfort me but we both knew that mere words couldnât calm me. I needed the doctors to inform me that they were alright.
âAaaah, Noâ¦.â Tilaâs scream set my heart pounding in my chest, anticipating the worst. I couldnât hold myself back anymore after hearing her shriek. My wolf was worked up and was longing to be there with our mate so I barged inside.
âAlpha,â one of the doctors stopped and looked at me in sheer fear. âLuna isnât letting usâ¦â His words remained in his mouth when I scrutinized him.
âHe is saying that he needs to-â Matilda said in a low voice but her voice choked as her vision became blurry and she broke into a so b.
âThe womb is too injured to carry the triplets and two of them have already lost their heartbeats due to the lack of blood supply and the third pupâs heartbeat is faint. If we tried to save her, Lunaâs life would be in danger and we might risk losing both of them,â Zach explained in a grim tone, stepping ahead.
I was going to become a father of a daughter. The thought alone made me feel ecstatic but the revelation soon left a bitter test in my mouth.
âIâm willing to take this risk to at least, save my one pup,â Matilda begged, looking at me with pleading eyes. Her mesmerizing lilac eyes were filled with pain which I was feeling, too, but I wouldnât let her risk her life no matter what.
Taking her hands in mine, I placed a soft k*ss on her knuckles, stroking her hands gently. âAs much as I want to do it, I canât be selfish enough to put your life at risk, baby. Youâre the most important person in my life and I wouldnât dare risk your life at any cost.â
A sole teardrop strolled down my cheek and she lifted her hand to wipe it off before leaning closer to me and sobbing silently.
The doctors continued their job while I stayed there and watched them remove my pupsâ tiny bodies from my mateâs womb. There was an intense pain rising in my chest along with the flames of anger that demanded Lølaâs destruction.
Lola, you would f ucking pay for this. You killed my pups⦠Dylan Kane, you had crossed all your

limits. You and your f ucking bit ch Queen will pay for this with your own flesh and blood.
The doctors completed the operation and stitched Tilaâs cuts and wounds which were healing pretty fast. Just when the doctors left, the curtains in the room caught fire and the temperature of the room drastically rose.
âI will f ucking kill her,â My mate roared, her claws coming out and her eyes flashing golden with a hint of fire smoldering in her orbs.
âMatilda,â Avery whispered, standing at the door. âMom⦠she is-â Before she could finish her sentence, she fainted and fell on the ground.
