Book 2 Chapter 28.

The Biker’s Mafia Princess

Dante POV.

I can see it on Rebel's face this is killing her. Even after what Luna has done to her, she is still believing there is some good in her sister's twisted heart. I don't see it, but then again I haven't been involved with it all, but Scythe has.

He told me last night everything that Rebel went through with her family and it has just solidified my opinion that Luna needs to die. How can one little girl be so evil? Why didn't her family see this sooner?

But Rebel believes Luna can be saved, even though deep down she knows she can't be. So no matter what we have to do, I will support Rebel with every decision she makes that brings her some sort of peace. She is exhausted with all of this and I can see she is slowly but surely breaking with it all. The woman needs a vacation and soon.

When Alessa and Ivar left. Rebel went to the bedroom to know doubt shower and get ready for the day. We are meeting my nonno at lunchtime to discuss Vittoria and what Alonso said. Maybe he has a solution to this that we haven't thought of. He, like me, doesn't want to hurt Vittoria, not after she has just made herself known.

Scythe and I enter the bedroom. We have gotten a lot closer over the last few days. He is a good guy and a demon in bed. The man can suck a lemon through a garden hose. We haven't all done anything together yet and I can see Rebel is needing a release. She has already had sex with me back in the club. But she has never done anything like that with Scythe.

We talked about it last night. It's only fair he gets his one-on-one time with her before we indulge in a threesome. We bathe and shower together and it feels right. Some would think it's wrong what we are doing, but it's right for us, so fuck what anybody thinks.

We strip off in silence and stop in the bathroom. I look at the shower enclosure and can hear Rebel sobbing. I look at Scythe and he looks at me. We know this is hard for her. The tough, untouchable assassin is broken in more ways than one. But we will make her kintsugi. We will put her broken pieces back together with gold to make her stronger.

I enter the shower enclosure, and she looks up and looks away to wipe her tears. "Don't hide from us, baby. Let it out. We will help you. We won't let you fall." I say as I take her into my arms and she sobs harder. It breaks my heart. The strongest will crumble and break. But they won't fall.

"Why is this so damn hard? What will it take for her to stop?" she knows the answer to her question. I look at Scythe and he nods his head. He knows too.

"Rebs, look at me." he moves closer to her. He reaches for her and I let her go to him. He hugs her and rests his chin on the top of her head.

"Whatever you are thinking, stop. It won't happen. You will not do what you are thinking of doing. Do feel me?" he says, but he is looking at me. I clench my fists. She wouldn't?

"It's the only way. All of this is happening because of her hatred of me. We need to go and get her. The sooner the better. Then everything will be ok." I close my eyes listening to her, she is convincing herself that everything will be fine and dandy. But it won't be. Luna, I fear, is a lost cause. There is no help or hope for her.

"Ok baby, ok, we will go and get her. We will try and get her the help she needs. You are not doing this alone, Rebel. You hear me? We both love you and we won't let anything happen to you," Scythe whispers to her. I move closer to them both and just wrap my arms around them both. She needs all the strength we can give her.

Even though she pretends she doesn't need it, I know she does. For such a woman to have the weight of the world on her shoulders, she hasn't once cracked, but this is breaking her and I won't allow it to destroy her. She needs us like we need her.

After we all shower and get out, we are dressed and ready to head to my nonno's house. We pile into the SUV and drive towards my nonno's compound. I know Scythe hates being in cages, as they call them, but we need to do this together. Rebel is in no state to ride at the moment and neither is he.

We pull up at the gates and drive through; the drive was in silence, each of us thinking of what we have to face before it all dies down. All this started with Luna, then you add me into the mix, then the assassins and the MC and now you have a disaster waiting to happen.

I climb out of the SUV and Scythe has already helped Rebel out. I take her hand in mine and he takes the other one. We all walk towards the doors of the Fanucci mansion and enter the house I used to call home.

I lead the way through the Italian-inspired mansion, with its wood panelling and herringbone floors. It always felt warm and like home here. We walk through and into the living room. The grandfather clock ticking in the background.

I smile, seeing my nonno sitting in his armchair, one foot resting on his opposite knee, reading the paper. His glasses perched on his face and a cigar in hand. He will never change.

"Nonno, we are here." He looks at us over the rims of his glasses and smiles at us. Folds the paper and stands up, placing it on a silver tray on the mahogany table.

"Dante, my boy. It's good to see you again. Rebel, Dylan. Welcome to our home," he says, spreading his arms. I walk to him and hug him and he chuckles but hugs me back. Rebel moves to him next, and he hugs her. She looks at me in shock and I stifle the laugh at her face. She is not one for contact unless she either initiates it or needs it.

Then there is Scythe. Rebel and I watch on bated breath for what my nonno will do. I always thought he would be against my lifestyle, but it turns out he isn't. My nonno walks to him and pulls him into a bone-crushing hug and pats his back.

"Don't be so stiff, I am happy as long as Dante is happy, and you two make him happy so I'm happy and that is how it stays capiche?" Scythe looks at me wide eyed and I nod my head at him.

"Yes, sir." He says and nonno just laughs.

"Oh please, we are family. None of that sir shit. Come, we have much to discuss." He says and waves us to follow him. I look at Rebel and Scythe and they are both stood like statues and I bark out a laugh which causes them both to break out of their shock.

"Come on. Can't keep the Don waiting." I say as I follow behind my nonno. They both jog to keep up.

We walk down the hallways to the back patio. The walls are a pale yellow with family portraits hanging. Rebel stops at one and I know who she is looking at.

"Is that her? Vittoria?" she asks and I nod my head.

"Yes, that is Vittoria and the woman beside her, well she was my mom. She died when Christina and I were children. My father's goomar (mistress) killed her. Cut the brakes of her car. It killed my dad. He committed suicide not long after." I tell them and Rebel looks at me with sadness in her eyes and does Scythe.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Dante. Where is the mistress now? I could, you know." she moves her thumb across her throat and sticks her tongue out of the side of her mouth. I chuckle at her.

"There is no need. She is already dead. She died once my nonno found out about the car. Vittoria killed her." I tell them both and Rebel looks back at the picture and seems sad. Shit, I know I have just said the wrong thing.

"Vittoria did what was right. She avenged your mother, her sister. If only everything was so simple between sisters." She says before she turns and walks towards the open patio doors. I look at Scythe and he takes my hand and squeezes it.

"It will be ok Dante, she knows what she is doing." He says, but I can't help but feel that whatever she is planning is going to kill us.
