JADE

“How may I please you, my lady?”

My bodyguard asked as he came before me. I stripped my clothes, revealing my nakedness before going to lie on my back on the bed.

“Come do what you do best with your tongue,” I said to him.

The moment I felt his tongue on me, I squirmed with pleasure as a low moan escaped my lips.

If only Logan would go down on me and treat me just as he should but he doesn’t. Logan Smith was the only man I’ve ever wanted and the only man who kept rejecting me even after we got married.

I did everything I could with my influence to have him and when I did, I thought I had him but that was for a very short period. It still hurts me to know that he would never see me the way I see him and that he still had that useless Omega in his

heart.

I hate her so much. If there was anyone to ever compete with, it should never be her. She wasn’t worth it. She was nothing compared to me or my status but she was who he wanted.

He wouldn’t touch me, he wouldn’t come close and even after everything. I still didn’t get him. After his father died and he became Alpha, he left the mansion we resided in together to another place wanting to be as far away from me.

I have done everything that I should to have him but the more tried, the further he went, and although she was nowhere in his life again, I still felt her presence.

I moaned out as he ate me out and all the while he did, I imagined him to be Logan. I wouldn’t have been this way if only my husband did the needful but he doesn’t. It’s like my entire presence was a sin for him that he couldn’t bear to stand me.

Not only does my bodyguard know how to serve me but he also knows where in my body to touch. I have been doing this the first year after my marriage.

After that, I went to take my bath and slept for the night, tomorrow I was going to see my husband.

“Mrs Smith welcome. We weren’t expecting you today,” Logan’s secretary said to me as he led me to Logan’s office.

“Mr Smith will be a little late which in sure he told you. You can just wait a little for him. What can I get for you? Tea or coffee?” He asked.

“You don’t have to get anything. I will be fine. Don’t worry,” I said to him.

Some minutes later, Logan walked into his office. I immediately got up to go meet him.

“What are you doing here?” He asked the minute he saw me.

“Hi, my love. You just came in. At least relax a little,” I replied.

“I’ve made it clear to you already that I want nothing to do with you but you don’t get it, do you? Kindly do the both of us a favor and sign the divorce papers,” he remarked and I scoffed.

I might not be the nicest of all people but he should at least be nice to me. “I burned the papers.”

“You what?”

“You heard me right, I said I burned the divorce papers.”

“You keep making it worse. Do yourself the favour and let the marriage come to an end. I will never love you, Jade. You know the reason we got married and if it wasn’t for that reason, I wouldn’t have married you and till today I regret ever letting that make me hurt Isabel.”

I glared at him. Anytime I heard her name, it only made me angry. “And what is so special about her? You know what this could cost you and the only reason I have been tolerating is because I want to give you a chance.

“A chance? A chance to what actually? You can do your worst. You lied about everything Jade. From framing Isabel’s dad and making him a traitor to manipulating my father. That Era is over. There is nothing that you can do so I’d advise that you leave. I will send another divorce letter,” he retorted.

“And I will never divorce you. I didn’t lie or frame her father. You are the cause of everything. If only you agreed to marry me without me having to resort to that. You are the cause of her pain and I wasn’t the one who rejected her, you did so….”

“Enough.” He cuts me off.

“Leave jade,” he demanded.

“You will regret it. For the number of times, you’ve humiliated me and reminded me that it’s only Isabel in your heart. I will make sure you regret every one of it and I promise you.” I clenched my fist.

“My life already is regrettable. You can’t do anything and this isnt the old Era. I will not be tolerating any actions of such from you,” he warned.

I glared at him for some seconds before walking out.

I just wanted to be away from him in the meantime and gather my thoughts. I was so pis sed that I hardly concentrated.

“Watch where it is that you are going to!” I uttered in anger when I bumped into someone.

“You walked into me.”

I looked up to see who it was that spoke and was shocked to the point I almost fell.

“Isabel?” I uttered in shock…

It couldn’t be, I thought to myself but I wasn’t hallucinating. It was her and she was standing in front of me.

“Jade.” She uttered.

I glared at her. What was she doing here and what does she want

Four years ago, I conspired with my father to get married to Logan no matter what it took. We made a plan and went to Logan’s father who was the Alpha then with false evidence. We accused Isabel’s dad of betraying the pack and a traitor putting him in a bad situation to escape.

Before the news went out, Logan was called by his father and told of the things Isabel’s dad did. Logan denied it, saying Isabel’s dad would never betray the pack but the evidence my dad and I had prepared was too hard to not believe.

Logan’s Father asked for Isabel’s dad to be brought before him to pass judgment and the judgment was for him to be killed and every of his descendants which meant Isabel would be killed too.

Knowing Logan’s father, he was a dictator. Once evidence is brought before him, he doesn’t give the second party a chance to explain.

Logan pleaded with his father asking for him to tamper justice with mercy. He said he’d do anything to get his father to

change his mind and give him the chance to prove her father’s innocence.

His father refused and said his mind was already made up as there was no room for traitors in the pack.

Logan pleaded. My father decided to then intervene and do what it was we had planned

My father pleaded with the Alpha that he should at least consider Logan. The Alpha said he’d only tamper justice with mercy if Logan did what he wanted.

Logan promised to do as his father wanted before his father dropped the bomb which ended up in my father.

Logan who was planning to get married in two days to Isabel against his father’s wish was told to get married to me on the same day he’d get married to Isabel and to reject her.

Logan was against it. He pleaded for another alternative but his father said that was the only way and if he didn’t do as he wanted then he’d watch Isabel and her father get killed.

Logan pleaded but it did nothing and in the end, he agreed to marry me to protect Isabel and her father.

That day was the happiest day of my life. I knew I was going to get married to him and that night 1 began to get prepared for my big day.

The last time I saw Isabel was the night she came over to Logan and he rejected her. I thought that was the last of her and was happy. I looked forward to a new start with Logan but I was wrong.

After four years, she was standing in front of me. She wasn’t looking like the same Isabel of the past. A lot has changed about her although, at the same time, it didn’t look like she changed.

know her then I might have thought so but I knew who she was.
