“Sadly I can’t do that. If you are going to be stressing my woman then I haven’t choice but to get involved, don’t you think?” Tim remarked, taking me by surprise when he referred to me as his woman.

“Woman!” Logan sounded surrounded.

“You heard me right and because she’s mine I won’t appreciate you troubling her so kindly leave,” Tim demanded,

“I don’t care if she has a man or not and if that man is you. Isabel is mine and will always be mine. I will have her back no matter what it takes so it would be best for you to stay out of this while I’m nice,” Logan stated.

“Being nice? I think I’m the one being nice to you. I mean you came to my girlfriend’s place and want to speak to her by force. If I wasn’t here I wonder what you might do,” Tim countered.

“Your girlfriend? I’m sorry but she won’t be yours for too long. Logan said confidently.

“You sound so confident, Tim stated.

“It is because I am. She’s just angry with me.

I mean, she has every right to be angry. I f ucked up and I wish I never did what I did but I am here now to do the needful and not you or anyone will prevent me from doing what I have to do to have her back.” Logan said, emphasizing his words.

One part of me was angry at how co cky he sounded and the other part of me was curious to know what he meant but I know deep down I won’t ever give him that chance because he hurt me so much. He broke my heart and I haven’t healed from it and while he’s here fighting for me to give him a chance, he’s still married to Jade.

Just the thought of that made me angry.

“Maybe you should focus that energy on your wife Jade, don’t you think?” I chided.

“Isab…”

“Don’t call my name!” I shouted.

“Don’t you dare call my name? What is wrong with you? You think I’d he yours? Even in my dream, that won’t ever ha can’t and won’t ever be yours and why are you so selfish! Aren’t you still with Jade? What do you want from me? Aren’t y tired of making me miserable? Or do I have to keep reminding you of the words you said to me that night?” Tears stream down my cheek.

“Ahy o you have to torment me so much!” I cried out.

“I’m so sorry. I…”

Tim cuts him off. I’d advise you leave now.”

Logan took a step closer. “And what if I don’t?”

I quickly went in between both men, preventing them from fighting themselves. Although Tim was two inches shorter than Logan, he wasn’t intimidated.

Logan had an intimidating personality and his height did justice to that. I was glad that he decided to come through for me. It made me feel happy.

“Logan, leave,” I demanded.

“Logan leave, I demanded again when I saw that he wasn’t making any move.

“Logan leave!” I exclaimed now.

His eyes met mine. “All I ask for is a chance, Isabel. I promise you just a chance and that’s all I need. I will go if after everything you don’t want to speak to me.”

“I can’t. Even if I want to, I can’t Logan. The past is in the past and we can’t rewrite it and what’s the need?” I sighed.

“You are married and I’m sure Jade wouldn’t be happy about this. If this was why you made me become your chef, I’m sorry but it’s not going to happen. You admitted to me four years ago that you don’t love me. You looked me in the eyes when you told me that and now, I’ve moved on. You are supposed to be happy.”

“I wish it was just as you said. I have never been happy. I can’t be happy. I have been dying ever since you walked out of my life. My life hasn’t been the same without you. It hurts so much and I looked for you. Now that I’ve found you, I want to make it right.”

I moved a little from him. I shook my head. “And you making it right doesn’t change anything. I don’t want you to keep doing this Logan. As you can see, I’ve moved on with my life”

Tim interjected. “You heard her man. She moved on with her life and you already did so stop with all of this or I might have to do something

“I’ve told you to ignore me, didn’t I? Don’t get on my nerves or I will make sure you regret ever having the guts to speak to me in the first place,” Logan threatened.

“And I’d love to see you try. Show me, man, what are you good at other than breaking a woman’s heart?” Tim retorted.

“Breaking the necks of men like you who want to claim mine,” Logan countered.

I stepped in the middle once again pushing Logan away from Tim. I knew Logan and I know what he could do and I wouldn’t want Tim getting hurt.

Logan was stronger and he had the upper hand. “Leave Logan. Leave this minute,” I pulled him towards his car.

-Why are you saving him? Is that how much you care for him? I thought I was the only man you’d ever love,” Logan remarked and 1 scoffed.

“You are quite delusional, aren’t you? Leave Logan. I’m done with this conversation as it’s starting to drain me!” I groaned.

“Promise me that you will speak to me and I will leave,” he said.

“I said 1 don’t want to,” I replied.

“If you want me to leave then you’d just agree. That’s the only way I won’t break his neck. If you care for him you’d grant my wish,” he suggested.

“You are so unbelievable. Keep threatening and expecting me to give you a chance. You know what?” I raised my arms in surrender.

“Stay here for as long as you want. I don’t give a f uck at all. I am going inside and if you dare come after me, I promise to make you regret it,” I warned, pointing my index finger at him.

I turned to leave. “Let’s go in babe,” I said to Tim, referring to him as a babe and making the relationship between us real although it wasn’t.

I intertwined my fingers with Tim and together, we walked into my building. I could feel Logan’s hot gaze at me couldn’t care about how he felt.
