LOGAN

“What are you doing here?” 1 questioned as soon I saw her. If there was anyone I wanted to see, it was not her. She’s the last person I want to see.

She’s the reason for all of this, She’s the reason I ended up marrying her after I found out about her father and her scheme to make Isabel’s father the bad person.

“I am your wife Logan and the last time I checked, we are still married. It’s good that you are here because we have a lot to talk about,” she replied.

“I have nothing to say to you so leave,” I stated.

“Well, I have a lot to say to you. You are nothing but a liar and a cheat. You are irresponsible to me as your Luna and also.”

“I don’t care about you, Jade. I don’t care what you think about me, Jade. Don’t you get it? You are that irrelevant to me so leave.” I demanded, emphasizing my word.

“And you think that’s enough for me to let you go? You are wrong Logan. I don’t care what you say to me because what we have is forever. You aren’t going to escape it. I’ve done it before and I’d do it again. If it won’t be me then it won’t be anyone and it would be best for you to get over the mindset of me giving up and letting you go. I am not nice to let anyone but I have you!” She uttered through her teeth.

“You can think you have me but you don’t Jade. Leave my house this instance before I’m forced to drag you out!” I growled.

She glared at me and I did the same. Her presence alone was infuriating me.

“This isn’t over Logan.” She picked up her bag from the chair.

“This isn’t over. I will make sure Isabel pays for everything and I will make sure you regret not wanting me,” she said before walking out.

I groaned in anger. My life has never been the same since I decided to get married to Jade to save Isabel and her father. I have hated my life.

Images of Isabel and that man resurfaced in my head and all I wanted to do was kill him. How dare he claim my woman. Isabel is and will always be mine and even if I have to crawl to have her, I will do so.

I want her in my life. I miss her so much that it’s so hard for me to breathe without her. After years, I finally found her but she doesn’t want me in her life. I have to do whatever it takes to have her.

The next day, I patiently waited for Isabel to come to my office. Some minutes later, she arrived, just on time.

“Good morning Mr. Smith.” Isabel greeted me as she stepped into my office.

“Good morning Isabel,” I replied.

“I would appreciate it if you referred to me as Miss. Payne after all it’s a professional setting, don’t you think?” She remarked.

I smiled in return. “If you say so, Miss.Payne.”

“This file contains the food menu. You can tell me the type of food you eat and which one suits you so I can prepare a timetable using that and by tomorrow you’ll have your food ready to your liking,” she stated handing over a file to me.

her. A glance at her was enough to make my day.

She can make me laugh without having to do much, that was how much I liked her. My day was already made. If I could, I’d have her by myself for the rest of the day but I knew she’d not want that.

I really wanted to respect her wish and give her the space that she wanted but at the same time, I couldn’t. As much as I wanted to listen to her, I knew that would only make it hard for me to make her mine.

I tried giving her space but I don’t think I can, not when I can speak to her.

Now that she has gotten this close, I’d use the opportunity to spend more time with her.

“Are you done?” She lifted her face and I quickly looked down at the paper in my hand acting like I wasn’t staring at her.

“Not yet,” I replied.

I heard her sigh but she said nothing. Once I noticed that she wasn’t looking anymore, I began to glance back at her again. I could have easily gone through the list and told her the needful that she wanted but I knew that would mean ending our conversation so fast and I didn’t want that.

I wanted to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with her and I’d do whatever it took to have her back.

It has been over twenty minutes and you haven’t said anything. Is none of the menu to your preference? I could bring a new list tomorrow?” She suggested.

“It’s not that,” I said.

“Then what is it?” She asked.

“The dishes are all so nice that I don’t want to choose,” I lied when I hadn’t even gone through any of the menus.

“If all is what you want then I can fit them into a timetable and make them accordingly, don’t you think?” She stated but I shook my head.

“Let me still keep looking. Once I’m done I’ll let you know,” I said.

“Alright.” She replied.

As she went back to staring at her phone, I continued stealing glances at her. If only I hadn’t hurt her and she wasn’t too angry with me, just maybe I’d be living my best life with three kids.

I’ve always imagined what it would be like to have a family with her. If she was the one I got married to, we’d have a big family already. I failed her and didn’t fulfill any of the promises made and it hurts me to see how far she wants to be from

“Are you going to keep staring at me or will you look at the list and conclude?” Isabel asked, not lifting her head to look at

I immediately looked back at the list. She knew I was staring at her and said nothing earlier.

“I am doing just that,” I lied.

“And what will you be doing? When I paid for you to be my chef I meant mine alone. If I needed you here all day, that’s part of the contract. So where else would you go to if not work for me?” 1 questioned.

I’ve missed her so much. I’ve missed having her under me and wrapping my arms around her. I’ve missed her and being this close to her made me lose my sanity.
