Chapter 32

LOGAN.

She was happy as she walked with him. He was carrying her daughter in his arms and she looked happy with him.

Her son was by her side, his face I barely saw. The more I stared them, the more furious I was because I thought things. were going to be different after last night although I knew that it was on my part I didn’t expect things to happen this way.

Why was she with him? It made me furious. Raymond began to drive at that moment and I realized that the traffic light turned free already.

“Stop the car.”

“What?” Raymond sounded confused but that was expected after all he didn’t see what I saw and he could not understand my feelings anymore better than me.

“Stop the car,” I said again, and this time he did.

“What’s wrong?” He questioned.

I removed my seatbelt and walked out of the car.

“Where are you going to?” Raymond asked as he ran after me. He caught up to me and held me by my arms.

What’s wrong?” He asked.

“Leave me.” I removed my arm from his hold and walked away. I wasn’t thinking. I didn’t know what I was doing but I kept walking.

While my head screamed for me to stop and leave, my body did otherwise. Why was she with him?

It was annoying seeing them and it hurt especially. Why was she with him? Something happened between us last night and 1 was seeing it as progress but it doesn’t seem to be that way for her.

I wasn’t happy. I kept walking. I wanted to get there as fast as I could. I thought about it. What would I say to her when I reached her? What would I tell her? What could I say to her? I didn’t know but at the same time, I knew once I got there I’d speak to her.

“What are you doing and where are you going?” Raymond came to stand in front of me.

I attempted to walk past him but he prevented me from doing so as he stood in front of me. “If you are walking over to Isabel then I’d advise that you don’t.”

“And why do you think I’d listen to you?”

“That’s because I am your beta and I know right now you are letting your emotions cloud your judgment. You can’t go to

her,” he stated.

“And why shouldn’t I do that? She’s with that man and with her kids and…”

“Listen to yourself. You aren’t acting like the Alpha that you are don’t you think? You can’t go over there and even if you do, what will you say to her? She’s out with her kids and that man who might be her boyfriend so I don’t think that makes it okay for you to approach her.”

I let out a hysterical laugh. “That man won’t be with her for long because guess what? I’m the one that she’d be with. I don’t care if they are his kids or if they aren’t. I don’t even want to know the father of those kids. Isabel is mine and that’s it.”

“She was yours and your lost her and if you want her back then you will have to do it properly. You can’t go there now because once you do, you’d end up running your chances with her.”

He made a point. Heck, everything he said was correct. He was right but I still wanted to go there. She was happy, smiling with him and I didn’t appreciate that. I want to be the only man she ever smiled at and the only man she spends her time

with.

Did last night mean nothing to her? It hurts so much.

“I will make her mine again.” I uttered.

“You will and that’s why you have to avoid her now. Don’t do anything to jeopardize your chances with her. Leave her for now and approach another time and when you do, let her see that you are still the man she was once in love with.”

Raymond has always been that friend. He knew what to say and he knew what to do. I have always been glad to have him as a friend. He could tell what was bothering me and knew exactly what to do. He could read me like a book and knew the right words to say to get me going.

Sadly for him, he doesn’t consider his mate and never plans to. He didn’t reject his mate funny enough neither did he accept her.

I chuckled lightly. “For someone stuck up on a girl who doesn’t seem to have memories of him, you sure know how to use your word.

“I mean what can I say? I am good with my words. That’s my check anyways.” He sounded proud.

Today is for you and him Isabel but I promise to make the rest you and mine alone,” I said before walking away, back to where the car was. The drive back to my place was quiet.

All I did was look out through the window.

“See you tomorrow Ray,” I said to Raymond as I got out of the car

“See you tomorrow, Goodnight and take care,” he said before driving off.

I walked towards my mansion. By the time I got to my mansion, my secretary was already inside waiting for me.

“I wasn’t expecting to see you. What is so urgent that you have to tell me that cannot wait until tomorrow?” I asked.

“Good evening boss. I came with the information 1 got concerning the person you asked me about. You stated that I got back to you as fast as I could when I got any information. I tried spealing to you before I came but your phone wasn’t going through.”

“Oh. What is it that you found?” I asked as I settled on my couch.

“Isabel Payne, well renowned chef. Mother of two kids and no husband. She’s a twenty-five years old lady. She had two kids. They are twins. Emma and Ethan are the names of her kids. Their age aren’t specified but they are around three to four years old. She’s not married. She is currently single and the father of her kids she unknown. There was nothing more I could get other than this.”

I felt a huge relief off my shoulder when I heard that she was single and as much as I didn’t want to be bothered by the other details, I couldn’t help but wonder who the father of her twins were.

The fact she had twins made me surprised. I didn’t think they were twins.

“Are you sure that’s all there is about her?” I asked.

I wondered who the father of the twins were and the words of Raymond resurfaced in my head. He said Isabel was pregnant four years ago before she left. She denied it but the hospital confirmed it.

If Tim isn’t the father and she’s not with him yet then why did he claim her as his woman and why did she accept it? The thought of that made my blood boil.

Did she want me that far that she would claim anyone as hers?

“Alright then. Thanks for the hard work. I appreciate it.”

He gave me a bow before walking out, leaving me with my thoughts.

Isabel wasn’t with anyone. It made me happy that I stand a chance to claim her back and have her back in my life. It made me happy.

I decided to call her phone and hear from her, I haven’t heard from her all day and it was because of what happened that I haven’t contacted her yet.

Last night was amazing and I wanted her so much.

I called, the phone rang but she didn’t answer. I tried again two more times and it was the same. It made me pi ssed. She was probably still out with that Tim guy.

She had kids yet she was staying out for that long. I clenched my fist in anger. I decided to leave a text message for her to text or call me when she received my message.

ISABEL

Today was fun. I didn’t expect to have that much fun. Tim made it so fun. He took us to a fun house so the kids would also have an amazing time. I enjoyed myself. I laughed and took pictures with my kids.

I haven’t had such fun activities with them before and I was glad that I did because I’ve not been chanced to do what I should do for that but Tim made that easy.

He engaged my kids and tried to make them laugh. They seemed to be happy with him and I could tell they loved the time they spent with him.

“Tonight was amazing. I enjoyed it. It was nice. Thank you so much for the night and most especially for making my kids happy, they do love you.” I honestly said to Tim.

“I’m glad that I made you happy and I’m glad that you had a fun time. I’m glad the kids love me because I already love them and I’m looking forward to spending more time with them. It was fun. Thanks for coming out and giving me another chance.”

I smiled. “I’m glad I did because you made tonight worth it. Thank you, Tim,”

Thank you too. I told you that you won’t regret giving me another chance and here we are. Trust me when I say there will be more of this and I will make sure to sweep you off of your feet.” He sounded confident and I liked that.

“Alright then, please so.”

“Kids, say bye to Tim,” I said to Emma and Ethan.

“Bye…Tim. Emma said yawning. She was tired already and sleepy.

“Bye Tim.” Ethan said. He was still awake, unlike his sister.

Tim leaned down to their height level and patted their head. “Goodnight Prince and Princess and I promise to have a more fun time with you both. Would you love to have another fun time with me?” He asked.

“Yay!” Ethan sounded excited.

“That’s more like it.” Tim said.

He waved at the kids and then at me.

“Tim.” I called, making him halt on his track.

I moved closer to him and placed a small kiss on his cheek. Thanks for tonight once again.”

He smiled. I closed the door feeling satisfied.

1 took Emma in my arms as she was sleepy already and took herto her room. I placed her on the bed.

“Time to sleep, Ethan. Come in.”

As soon as I was done helping my kids fall asleep. I left to go sleep too because I was exhausted and I had a day ahead of me

tomorrow.

I saw that.” I was startled by the voice behind me, placing my palin on my chest to relieve myself

“Oh, my goodness. You scared me.”

“What are you doing not sleeping?”

“And what are you doing not coming back home early?” Adeline curled her lips to the side and I rolled my eyes at her words.

“Oh please.”

“I saw what you did. You kissed him on the cheek. It seems you had a fun day tonight and the kids too. How good was he? Enlighten me.” She nudged.

Tonight was amazing. I had a good time with him. It was fun. He knew just how to have fun and he made my kids happy too. The fact he considered taking us to a place where the kids would also have fun made me happy.” I sincerely told Adeline and she cooed.

“That’s so sweet. I’m enjoying this so much! You had a great time and I’m super happy for you. He cares about your kids and now that’s a sign of a good man. He has an interest in you and he also has an interest in your kids. He’s been intentional.” Adeline remarked.

“That’s true.” I sighed.

“There’s a but, isn’t there?” Adeline said.

I sighed again. “Something happened that I didn’t tell you. It wasn’t like I didn’t want to tell you but I didn’t have the time because it happened yesterday night and we are just seeing today.” I explained.

“What happened?” Adeline asked.

“He already apologized for it. I mean that’s why he came today to ask for a chance. I saw a side of him yesterday that I wasn’t sure about and I wasn’t comfortable with. It didn’t seem like him and like a completely different version.”

“He acted like he was Try father. Not like I’m a father way but more like in a controlling way and be was demanding

I settled down to explained exactly what happened yesterday to Adeline and what happened today.

“That seems weird Was he hexed on something I don’t even think that’s it. But who knows maybe he was having a bad day

or and all but he apologized today but is that enough to look away? I mean besides that, he has been nothing but good, Adeline ranted

“What do you think I should do?” I asked.
