“Do you not understand? After listening to what you just said, don’t you have an answer already?”

“What do you

mean by that?” I was still confused. I was the one who had told him of what my secretary informed me about Isabel yet I didn’t know what I said that he understood that I didn’t.

“It’s simple Alpha,” Raymond remarked, calling me an Alpha whenever he wanted to indirectly call me stu pid.

“Okay. Just get straight to the point instead of making things hard and complicated for me.” I uttered, irritatingly.

“I have a feeling that the twins are yours. What am I even saying I’m saying those twins can’t be four years old and not be yours. I believe that Isabel was pregnant for you four years ago and those twins are yours.” He said.

I was taken aback by his words. I wasn’t sure if I heard him correctly but I knew I did and I needed more for me to understand where it was that he was coming from.

“Let me explain for you to understand because it seems you are confused. Isabel was your mate. You both were engaged sexually. You rejected and broke her heart. Then she left the pack. Four years later you see her with kids who are four years old and they don’t belong to the man she’s currently with because they aren’t even together so that means one thing. She was pregnant for you.” Raymond explained.

Everything made sense to me. “And you said at the hospital, they confirmed that she was pregnant but she denied it. So this meant she was pregnant. Oh my goodness!” I ran my finger through my hair in realization and hurt.

Isabel was pregnant and she wasn’t just pregnant but she was pregnant for me. For the past four years, she raised our kids all by herself and kept it a secret but why?

I suddenly lost it. Why would she do that to me? Why would she hurt me? She took away my kids from me for four years. Doesn’t make sense at all!

“F uck!” I cursed.

“How could she! She was carrying my child with her for four years and she didn’t bother to let me know. This is so unfair!” uttered in anger.

“You can’t conclude now unless you finally have proof that they are yours and when I say proof, DNA test,” Raymond said.

“Oh please! It’s evident they are mine because it’s not possible she had sex with another short after our break up.” I said in my defense.

“You are furious and I can see that but we cannot conclude at all. And besides if truly the kids are yours, you can’t blame her for not telling you. I mean you jilted her and got married to another. You don’t expect her to walk up to you and tell you, did…”

1 cut him off. “Oh please! Don’t get started on that! It doesn’t justify her actions but I won’t be concluding now. I will do whatever it takes to know if those kids are mine and once I do, she and I would have a long talk.”

“You might want to take it easy so you don’t end up super disappointed when you find out that they aren’t yours although I believe they are yours but we need proof to approach her with so she doesn’t deny,” Raymond stated.

“So what do you think I should do?” I asked Raymond.

“Try to see the twins for yourself and also try to get their hair to know if they are yours. I can help you with that thought but it would be nice if you did that yourself, don’t you think?”

Chapter 37

“That’s a good idea. I just have to find a way to see them.”

Later that day. I thought hard about what to do on how to see my kids. I decided that I’d go over to Isabel’s place, find a way to see the kids for myself, and take a strand of their hair for a DNA test.

I’d be so disappointed if they were mine and she did nothing to get me informed about it. I can forgive a lot of things but I don’t think I’d be able to forgive this.

I didn’t know if I should knock on the door or sneak my way in. It didn’t seem like me to sneak my way into someone’s house. I’d do what’s best for me and that’s it.

1 decided to go through the door and not act like some thief that I wasn’t and I hope she wasn’t having any visitor and it was just her nanny. That would make it easy for me.

If she was around and she had that b astard Tim with her then I doubt I’d be able to control myself. I was already pi ssed and 1 didn’t want to find someone to transfer my aggression to.

I rang the doorbell, waiting patiently for whoever it was that was inside to open the door for me. Once I get the chance, I’d do what it is that I have to do to get the kid’s hair for a DNA test.

The door opened fracking Isabel’s nanny and I heaved a silent sigh of relief seeing that it wasn’t Isabel that answered the door or she might not want to let me inside her house.

“Mr Smith. Hi. What are you doing here today?” Lilian asked.

I smiled at her. “Is Isabel inside?” I asked.

“No. She’s not. Is there anything you’d want for me to pass across to her?” She asked.

I quickly shook my head. “No. Isabel asked for me to come wait for her over at her place and that’s why I am here. I thought she’d be here before me considering the time she told me to come over,” I lied.

“Oh, I see.” She moved aside for me to step into the house.

This would be my first time stepping into her house and it was a sight to behold. The minute I stepped inside. I was led the interiors and also the antiques in the house. The place was s pacious.

“You can wait in the living room,” Lilian said before walking away

I decided that it was time for me to find where the kids were to make it easy for me before Isabel returned because I doubted she’d want me to stay any longer if she caught me here.

“Where are you going, Mr. Smith?” Lilian asked.

I cleared my throat. “Where are the kids?” I asked Lilian.

“Is there a problem?” She questioned.

“No. Not at all. I got candy for them so I want to give them.” I said, thanking the moon goddess for letting me carry candy around with me because I wouldn’t have known what to say to her or how to convince her.

“Oh. Why don’t you give it to me then I’d give it to them,” she suggested but I shook my head, refusing her offer..

“You don’t give the kids candy to someone. I have to give it to them personally or else they might think it’s from you,” I chuckled.

“Oh come on. That’s not true and besides I’d let them know that it’s from you. You can trust me to give me the candy and I’d give it to them.” She stretched forth her hands for me to hand over the candy.

“Not at all. I have said I’d give it to them so show me the way to their room or rather you can bring them to me for me to hand over the candy to them, what do you think?” I curled my lips to the side.

I was eagerly waiting for her response and hoping that she would help because I wanted to before Isabel came.

“Alright then. I’d go bring them.” She said.

The moment she left, I heaved a sigh of relief. Soon enough my heart beat raced as I thought of what would happen after 1 got what it was that I wanted.

She returned shortly with the little girl and I wondered the whereabouts of the little boy.

The little girl was the replica of Isabel. She looked like her mother. Nothing was missing from her. She was pretty and lovely with beautiful eyes like Isabel. Seeing her only made me smile.

The minute the little girl came in front of me, she smiled.

“Hi. princess. You are so lovely. You look exactly like your mom. How are you?” I said as I leaned down to be at her height level.

She smiled harder. “I’m fine.” She replied.

“I brought you candy. Here is one for you and the other is for your brother,” I handed her the candy.

She took it from my hand still smiling beautifully. “Thank you.”

You are welcome, princess.” I placed my hand on her hair, gently stroking them. I thought of her to her a strand of her hair in the process.

“Where is the little boy?” I asked.

“He refused to come out. He said he doesn’t want to see you, she replied.

I was surprised by her response. Why would the little boy say that? That’s one stubborn kid.

“And why did he say that?” I asked.

“I don’t know. He’s usually a sweet kid but I don’t know why. He said you can give the candy to me,” she replied.

“Wow.” To say I was surprised would be an understatement.

“He asked for you to take the candy and bring it for him?” I asked again.

She nodded her head in confirmation. “He politely asked that I take the candy from the and he said thank you.”

I wasn’t having that. I was going to see him and it suddenly became a must.

“Where is he?” I asked.

“In his room.” She replied.

“Lead the way.” I urged and she did as told without questioning

I carried the little girl in my arms, feeling warmth from holding her close as we walked towards her brother’s room.

“Ethan. Someone is here for you,” Lilian said as she opened the door to the room.
