FOUR YEARS AGO

ISABEL

“You look lovely in that dress. I heard my favorite voice and through the mirror I saw him, leaning towards the door as he stared at me.

I blushed. I turned towards his direction and ran towards him. I wrapped my arms around him and he held me firm, k*ssing all over my face while I giggled.

“Now that I’m back, we’d do the needful and get married. I cannot wait for you to finally be mine,” he said, looking intently into my eyes.

“What about your father? He’s yet to approve of us,” I stated.

He placed his hands on my waist, running down up and down. “Don’t worry about him. The only reason he doesn’t want you is because you are an omega wolf but in no time, he’d accept you.”

As convincing as his words were, I was still bothered by it. Alpha Rutherford Smith detests slaves. He looked down on us and didn’t deem us worthy of standing in his presence.

He has never approved of Logan and me but Logan stood by me. For a prince, Logan had different principles from his father. He was nothing like his father. He was compassionate and a good listener while Alpha Rutherford was a dictator. He does what he wants and doesn’t listen to the needs or opinions of others.

He placed a strand of hair behind my ear. “It’s going to be fine my love. Don’t worry about my father after all I’m your mate and not him and I accepted you didn’t I?”

“I love you, Isabel. You are the only woman I want in my life and I promise to stand by you no matter what it takes,” he assured me.

I smiled at his words. He always reassured me. He knew just what to do and what to say to make me feel at ease. He makes me fall in love with him every day.

“Let’s not ruin the mood you know. I’ve missed you and I know you’ve missed me too,” he said, staring at my l*ps and I knew

Someone knocked on my door at that moment.

“Hey Cassie, is there a problem?” I asked.

“Is Prince Logan with you?” He asked.
