I was surprised to see Raymond standing outside of my house in the middle of the night. I got out of my car and walked towards him.

How did he find this place and what brought him here at this time?

“Hi” He said.

“Hi” I replied.

“How did you know where I live?” I asked.

He smiled. “I have my way.”

“What brings you here?” I asked.

“You.” He replied making me frantic.

“Me?” I pointed my index finger at myself.

“What do you mean by me?”

“Will you go somewhere with me?”

“What are you talking about and where? Just get straight to the point alright?” I remarked.

“Please go somewhere with me. I cannot give you a lot of details but you will find out when you get there and don’t worry, you will be brought back and safe and sound as I promise to return you,” he explained but his explanation didn’t make me

feel at ease.

“Are you expecting me to enter your car and go with you to a place I have no idea about and what I’d be going to do there. with ease?” I questioned.

He shook his head. “No. That’s not it. What I meant is simple and I know you want to know more but trust me when I say you’d find out when you get there, so please just listen to me and follow me.”

“I just came back home and I am yet to see my kids. As much as want to follow you, I have to go in there to see my kids and make sure they are alright because this…” I pointed at the situation between me and him. “Is weird”

“Alright. You can go in to check on your kids but promise me that you will go with me?” He asked.

“And if I don’t?” I retorted.

“Please, Isabel. I am pleading and requesting not demanding, he remarked.

“Doesn’t change the fact that you came to my house to tell me what to do. I don’t even know what this is about but I promise you that if this turns out bad I will make you pay.” I warned.

He chuckled. “Why would I want to hurt you? You and j met some days ago and you think I’d want to do something bad to do? Come on, you’ve known me for a long time to have such thoughts about me.”

“Whatever. Anyone can change in the blink of an eye and I know that after all, I went through it.” I smiled at him before turning to leave, walking towards the direction of my house.

Chapter 32

I entered my house to see my kids in the living room playing sign their toys while Lilian their nanny, sat on the couch watching them.

“Mummy!” They called out simultaneously as they ran up to me to hug me. I carried them both in my arms, holding them firmly as I hugged them.

“How are my babies doing? How are you doing Emma?” I asked.

“I’m fine mummy,” she replied and I smiled brightly whilst staring at her.

“And how is my big body doing?”

“I’m fine mummy.” He replied.

I placed a kid in their cheek before putting them down.

“Lilian, you will be staying extra hours. I have to go somewhere and I don’t know when I’ll be back so please watch the kids okay!” I said to her.

“Alright.” She replied.

“Mummy where are you going to?” Ethan asked.

“Mummy will be back soon, okay? Mummy just needs wants to get something. Take care of tutarlı and your sister and be a good boy okay?” I patted his head.

“This better be something worthy of else you won’t like or,” I warned before getting into his car.

Some minutes into the quiet drive, he broke the silence. Left time I had nothing to say and all I was doing whilst he drove was staring at the roads to make sure I was still in a familiar environment as I couldn’t afford to let my guard down.

“You can relax you know? I’m not taking you to a place that’s going to harm you. As much as I’d love to give you the details you want, I can’t because you should find out yourself.”

“And by that you mean? You know this is funny. You suddenly appeared in my life or maybe that’s not what I’d call it. You and I met and the next time we’d see again, you want me to go to a place with you without much details.”

I sighed deeply. “Honestly the only reason I am going with you is because of the trust I have for you. I don’t think I’d have done this with another and I won’t even call it trust because I don’t trust people not after what I went through.”

That’s understandable and I’m glad you considered old-time sake. I know you wouldn’t have. Thanks for considering me.”

I don’t say anything in response to his words.

“I don’t have a question though. Why did you decide to come yourself? And would you at least give me a hint?”

He doesn’t reply but smiles instead.

I shook my head and ignored it, continuing with my interest in staring at the road until we finally came to a stop.

He parked the car in the parking lot of a five-star hotel. Rand Exclusive Hotel. One of the best hotels to ever exist and also very expensive. Everyone knows Randa exclusive hotel also known as REH.

“Why are we here?” I asked.

“In a few minutes you’d find out soon so why don’t we go in first, don’t you think?”

I stepped out of the car

“Shall we?” Raymond said as he gestured towards the entrance of the hotel.

I followed behind him with so many questions. I wanted to see what was going on in there and what surprise or bad news there was for me. I honestly wasn’t expecting anything good because I have stopped myself from being hopeful for a long

time.

I don’t want to get heartbroken when things don’t go my way so always expect less.

1 stepped into the well-decorated hotel with expensive interiors and amazing aesthetics. There was so much to every piece in Randa’s exclusive hotel. It was beautiful and everything inside was classy.

We walked towards the elevator. We got into the elevator and he pressed on the final floor button.

I wondered what it could be. I tried to think of a lot of reasons why he had brought me here but nothing seemed to come to mind and I knew if I asked him, he wouldn’t tell me.

“Just a little more minute and you’ll find out.” I muttered.

“What did you say?” Raymond asked.

“Nothing,” I replied.

The ride to the final destination seemed to be longer and I was growing impatient with every passing second.

When I heard the sound of the elevator door, I became nervous. My heart began to race faster than normal in anticipation and my stomach clenched from fear of the unknown.

1 didn’t want to experience anything bad and it was then that I started to scold myself for coming with him when I could have just stood my ground and stayed back home.

He didn’t say anything and continued leading the way until we arrived at the rooftop. The minute he opened the door, I was wowed by the decorations and also the settings.

There was a table for two that was already set up with absolutely nobody around making me frantic.

“Are you sure that we are at the right place?” I asked.

I noticed he was texting someone on his phone but I didn’t see who and what he texted making me more nervous.

“I will leave you now.” He said.

“What? What do you mean by that?” I questioned.

“Don’t worry. You are safe. He assured me but I wasn’t assured because I didn’t understand why he would bring me here only for him to want to leave.

“Relax Isabel.” He smiled and I honestly felt offended.

“You don’t get to tell me that. You brought me here and suddenly want to leave? Who does that? I will not accept that. If you are leaving then so am I.” I stated firmly.

“Turn around.” He said.

I creased my brows in confusion. “Do you think I want to play? What the hell is wrong with you?”

“Just turn around Isabel.” He said once again.
