“He said that to you? That’s so sweet. I think you better start getting ready also have you

made

up your

mind?” Adeline asked.

“Made up my

mind? I’ve already made up my mind and you don’t know how excited I am to hear him plan all this. We are getting married and that’s the most important thing.” I squealed in happiness.

“I cannot wait for you to get married. I am so excited! Finally one of us will get to wear a wedding dress but now that I think about it. I do have a question.” She said making me nervous because each time Adeline said she had a question, they turned out to be very true and disturbing.

“What is it?” I asked, trying not to sound nervous.

“You know you are an omega and the pack never liked you. What do you think woke accept? Do you think you’d be accepted also what about Jade?” She asked.

“Im not trying to be pessimistic but we have to look at all angles. Don’t get me wrong. I want the best for you and we have to make plans ahead. What about the pack and how did we handle jade because for someone who’s obsessed with Logan, she’s not going to sit out and I wouldn’t allow her to come and ruin your big day.”

I exhaled deeply. “You do have a point Adeline and I honestly understand where it is that you are coming from but if I let those people begin to make me worry then I might eventually get nowhere and that’s why those people will be the last on my mind.”

“That’s good then.” She said.

That week came and went. Logan and the kids kept bonding with one another. I looked forward to the day Logan would ask me to get married to him.

I didn’t want to remind him because 1 knew that he knew and he was the one who told me of his plans and asked for me to get prepared so as not to reject him.

The more he delayed, the more worried I was and the words of Adeline began to cloud my mind. Could it be that he had already told them about me and they refused to accept me? That was the only sensible reason for him not to have said anything when he had plans to

The sound of my phone ringing for my attention. I snapped out of my thoughts to get my phone. It was Logan calling. Just like I thought of him and he called.

“Hey,” I answered my phone.

“Hi” He replied.

“How are you?” He asked.

“I’m good and you?” I replied. ”

“I’m good. How are the kids?” He asked.

I couldn’t help but laugh at how he kept asking me questions.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“What do you think I am doing?” He asked.

“Are you seriously asking? Jaughed..

“Did I say something wrong?” He sounded confused.

“No, you didn’t. But how you kept asking questions concerning me and the kids is funny. I mean you could have asked at once but you kept asking and it just felt dragged,” I explained.

“Oh.” He hummed.

“Yes. That’s it but to answer your question, yes the kids are fine and I am fine. So why did you call?”

“What’s your plan for this weekend?” He asked.

“This weekend? Why?”

“Do you have any plans? Do you have a place that you are going to? Do you have anyone you are going to meet or have to be at work?” He clarified.

“No. Is there any problem?”

“That’s good then. Just wanted to know why I called so that I don’t end up disappointed. He replied.

“Disappointed as how? What is going on?” I asked.

“You will know when the time comes. Now that I know that you are free on Saturday then I will get prepared for it He said.

At least you should tell me so I know that I’m not in for any trouble you know, So what is special on Saturday that you don’t want to get disappointed?” I asked but it was after I asked that I realized that he might want to ask me

Officially to be with him.

“You will find out one Saturday so for now try not to be so curious, okay?” He stated.

“Alright. If you say so.”

“Bye and take care.” He replied before ending the call.

I wanted to squeal in excitement but then realized that I shouldn’t be quiet to conclude until I had confirmed for real that it was the plan he had in mind.

I was yet to tell Leah about me and Logan. Adeline said it would be best only when I officially got together with Logan and I understood where she was coming from

I danced to the rhythm of the music. The music was perfect for my mood. Calm and nice. Tomorrow is Saturday and that too contributed to my happiness. I couldn’t wait for

Tomorrow. To see how tomorrow would go. I didn’t want to expect much but at the same time I couldn’t help it

Even when I reminded myself of what happened the last time expected much, it still wasn’t enough to make my mood ruin because for once I wanted to trust him and just be happy. Because I wanted to believe in his words when he said that he wouldn’t make the same mistake.

I wanted to just let that be the reason I am happy because if I start to think badly and let what happened in the past affect me I might end up being the one not showing up and wanting to prove a point to him to know just how hurt I was in the past.

a sip of wine. I didn’t know for how long I was dancing but I danced until the song came to an end and just then I heard a loud clap.

I turned around to see Adeline with a grin on her face. We both poked at each other and just like that burst into a fit of laughter.

“Oh my goodness.” I covered my lip with my palm.

“Someone seems to be in a good mood. So tell me, what’s the tea?” She asked as she walked closer to me.

“Do you want me to be honest?” I asked.

“What else would I want for you if not for you to be honest? Or tell me, do you have something else in mind?” She asked.

“Okay then. Since we are being honest then let’s be honest. I’m just super excited for tomorrow and thinking about it makes me jump for joy.” I told her.

“Tomorrow? What’s happening tomorrow?” She asked.

“What haven’t you told me?” She raised her brows in a questioning brows.

“Oh, that’s true. I haven’t told you yet so let me tell you in advance because I think tomorrow might just be the day.” I answered.

“The day? What are you talking about? Kindly tell me so I know and stop speaking in riddles or whatever,” she saith,

Logan called yesterday to ask if I was free or not against tomorrow which is Saturday and he asked that because he doesn’t want to be disappointed and I think that tomorrow might just be the day he asks me to be his again officially.” I explained to her.

“Oh, that’s true!” Adeline gasped.

“Oh, my goodness. For him to want to know your schedule then tomorrow is going to be special. I’m so happy for you! That moment better be filmed because I want to watch it.”

“I’m so elated and you can’t even tell.”

“Oh trust me, sweetheart. I know. I can imagine it already even if I’m not in your shoes. Things are falling into places.” Adeline cheered.

“So now that we are on that, what will you be wearing tomorrow or do you have something in mind already?” She asked.

“And now that you’ve mentioned it, I have absolutely nothing in mind.” I replied.

“You are kidding right?” She inquired, scrutinizing me.

“Why would I kid about it? I don’t have an idea of what I’d wear. This is just crazy.” I complained.

“I don’t even have anything to wear.

“And tomorrow is Saturday? You can’t go shopping the day you are supposed to go out with your man? It doesn’t make sense. Oh my goodness and it’s late already. We will have to improvise.” Adeline said.

“I can just wear anything. I mean it’s not like I have bad clothes,” said.

“It’s not about not having bad clothes. It’s about looking good because tomorrow is about to be a very memorable day and you don’t want to recall wearing old casual clothes. I mean it’s going to be a special day.” She remarked, face-palming herself afterward.

“I don’t know about that but one thing I know is I’m going to slay it and what do you mean by improvising? It’s not like Logan is someone new to me. I mean he’s my baby daddy and too much of everything wouldn’t be that…” I trailed off when I heard the sound of my bell.

“Excuse me,” I said before walking towards the door to see who it was at the door.

I wouldn’t open my door unless I saw who it was at the door so looked through the small hole at the door.

If it was Logan, he would have called and whoever comes to visit me, called me ahead.

I didn’t recognize who it was at the door but it seemed like he came to deliver something-

“Are you expecting any delivery?” I asked Nicole.

“Delivery? Not at all” She replied.

I furrowed my brows in confusion. If she wasn’t the one expecting a delivery then who could it be?

“Is there a delivery man outside?” Adeline asked and I nodded my head in response.

“And you aren’t expecting anything?” She asked.

I nodded my head in response.

“Then open the door to see.” She said, walking towards me.

I won’t do that. I don’t know him and he might be sent by someone to come cause harm so I’m not doing that.” I replied.

Just then the doorbell rang again.

“What are you going to do? Ignore or find out? There’s only one answer to this. Either you answer or ignore but I don’t think that he’d be leaving any soon and besides he wouldn’t dare come here on a mission and think he’d escape because I’d make sure to deal with him.” Adeline uttered as she tried to see the man for herself.

“It seems he’s sending a text to someone.” She stated and I pushed her aside but not in an aggressive way to see for m

“He’s calling those who hired him to tell them no one is answering him,” I replied.

Just then my phone rang..

“It’s Logan,” I informed Adeline before answering the door.

“Hi. Are you home?” He asked.

“Yes, I am,” I replied.

“Open the door or aren’t you heeding the sound of your doorbe?” He asked and then I realized that the man was a messenger of Logan.

“Will do,” I said to him before he ended the call.

“It’s from Logan,” I informed Adeline before opening the door,

“From Mr. Smith.” The man said handing the package to me.

“Thank you,” I replied, taking the package from his hand before closing the door.

Adeline and I walked back to the living g room to unbox the package and I was wowed by what w

was in there.

“Oh my goodness he’s such an intentional man,” Adeline remarked as she started at the beautiful dress for me and the card.

I took the card to read in detail. “Come dressed in this and also with the kids tomorrow. A car will come to pick you up. Yours truly, Logan.”
