Chapter 8
The Alpha Abandoned Bride
Chapter 8
LOGAN
âSir. Sir.â I snapped back to reality from the whispers of my name from my secretary.
âThe presentation is over and they need your opinion about it,â My secretary informed me.
I mentally cursed as I had lost track of what was happening when the thoughts of Isabel filled my head.
It had been a week since I saw her and it hadnât been easy at all. I wanted to speak to her, to have a moment with her but it was impossible.
I expected that after all I had hurt her and I told her I never wanted anything to do with her again.
I liked it. I will need some time to go through it again before finalizing,â I said, wanting to dismiss the meeting could to get some air.
âThank you, sir.â The project supervisor said before stepping off the podium.
as fast as I
I arrived at my mansion later that day to rest and call it a day but was surprised to see someone I didnât like to see.
âHi baby, you are back home just in time for dinner, Jade said with a smile on her face as she walked closer to me.
My stomach clenched at her sight and I was irritated by her presence.
âWhat are you doing here?â I questioned as we both had our mansion and didnât live with one another.
âWhat do you mean by that? I am your wife of course so I can come and see my husband whenever I want,â she replied, attempting to kiss me but I took a step back, avoiding her kiss.
âAre you seriously doing this? Whatâs wrong with you? Okay, I get you might have had a bad day today at the office and thatâs why Iâm here. So why donât you try to freshen up, come down for dinner, and later tonight we will get naughty,â she remarked teasingly but I wasnât moved by that.
I have never loved Jade and Iâd never love her.
I walked past her, ignoring all that she had just said because I didnât want to stand any second closer to her.
âThatâs my baby! Iâm waiting!â She squealed excitedly.
I got into my room, took off my shirt, and hit the shower. When I came out of my bathroom, Jade was already in my room.
âWhat are you doing here?â I questioned
âOh your wife because I am. I can come into your room when I want okay?â She replied.
come on. Stop acting like Iâm 1
âI think you should leave,â I demanded.
She scoffed. âLeave? What do you mean by that? Why would I leave!â
âYou and I know I love my space and your presence right now isnât needed so leave Jade,â I stated firmly.
She walked closer to me. âIt seems you are forgetting the state of our relationship Logan. You are forgetting that I am your wife and what it is that I can do. You are forgetting that you are where you are because of me so you might as well want to watch the tone you speak to me with.â

She stood on her tippy toes to kiss me but I pulled away. âDonât.â
âIâm your wife Logan! Act like it and stop pushing me away.â She sounded pissed.
I smiled at her. âDoes it look like I care? Leave or I might as well have to force you out.â
She glared at me for some seconds before walking away in anger. I heaved a sigh of relief from her absence.
The past four years have been tormenting, and I look forward to when I finally make everything right.
âI just saw Jade on my way in. She doesnât look happy, I hope all is fine?â My Beta Raymond said.
walked down the stairs to meet him. âGood, sheâs gone.â
âI thought you were going to divorce her?â He said.
âI want to but sheâs not making it easy. Itâs starting to choke me. Itâs so annoying having to still be tied to her,â I complained bitterly.
âHow is the situation with Isabel?â He asked and I sighed.
âYou havenât been able to speak to her?â
I shook my head. âI donât even know, Last week I tried to speak to her but she didnât want to and it seems like she has. another man in her life. I donât even know.â
âSo thatâs it? Youâd give up on her?â
âI honestly donât even know what to do. I honestly donât know what to say because I was the one who broke her heart. I looked into her eyes and rejected her. I left her on the day of our wedding of course Iâm not expecting it to be easy,â I stated.
âAnd you keep thinking about all of that then you wonât be able to do anything. You didnât do any of that because you wanted to. What you did four years ago was for her benefit. You didnât do it because you wanted to YG but because you had to so that reason should be enough for you to be able to approach her and make things right, Raymond lamented.
He was right.
âWhat if Iâm too late?â
âUnless you speak to her, youâd never know,â he replied.
âFour years ago you did what was best. I of all people saw it all and I know how damaged youâve been for years because of that decision you made. You can make things right again,â Raymond placed his palm on my shoulder.
âWhat brings you here?â I asked Raymond.
âThe club owner wants to meet tomorrow night if possible so I came to ask if youâd be available for it,â he replied.
âYes I will be available for it,â I replied.
âAre you sure? I heard the club owner used to be a rogue and isnât someone who does business without risk?â
âYou donât have to worry about that. Just let me do my job while you watch and learn,â I replied.
