“Sir. Sir.” I snapped back to reality from the whispers of my name from my secretary.

“The presentation is over and they need your opinion about it,” My secretary informed me.

I mentally cursed as I had lost track of what was happening when the thoughts of Isabel filled my head.

It had been a week since I saw her and it hadn’t been easy at all. I wanted to speak to her, to have a moment with her but it was impossible.

I arrived at my mansion later that day to rest and call it a day but was surprised to see someone I didn’t like to see.

“Hi baby, you are back home just in time for dinner, Jade said with a smile on her face as she walked closer to me.

My stomach clenched at her sight and I was irritated by her presence.

“What are you doing here?” I questioned as we both had our mansion and didn’t live with one another.

“What do you mean by that? I am your wife of course so I can come and see my husband whenever I want,” she replied, attempting to kiss me but I took a step back, avoiding her kiss.

“Are you seriously doing this? What’s wrong with you? Okay, I get you might have had a bad day today at the office and that’s why I’m here. So why don’t you try to freshen up, come down for dinner, and later tonight we will get naughty,” she remarked teasingly but I wasn’t moved by that.

I have never loved Jade and I’d never love her.

I walked past her, ignoring all that she had just said because I didn’t want to stand any second closer to her.

“That’s my baby! I’m waiting!” She squealed excitedly.

I got into my room, took off my shirt, and hit the shower. When I came out of my bathroom, Jade was already in my room.

“What are you doing here?” I questioned

“Oh your wife because I am. I can come into your room when I want okay?” She replied.

“I think you should leave,” I demanded.

She scoffed. “Leave? What do you mean by that? Why would I leave!”

“You and I know I love my space and your presence right now isn’t needed so leave Jade,” I stated firmly.

She walked closer to me. “It seems you are forgetting the state of our relationship Logan. You are forgetting that I am your wife and what it is that I can do. You are forgetting that you are where you are because of me so you might as well want to watch the tone you speak to me with.”

She stood on her tippy toes to kiss me but I pulled away. “Don’t.”

“I’m your wife Logan! Act like it and stop pushing me away.‘ She sounded pissed.

I smiled at her. “Does it look like I care? Leave or I might as well have to force you out.”

She glared at me for some seconds before walking away in anger. I heaved a sigh of relief from her absence.

The past four years have been tormenting, and I look forward to when I finally make everything right.

“I just saw Jade on my way in. She doesn’t look happy, I hope all is fine?” My Beta Raymond said.

“I want to but she’s not making it easy. It’s starting to choke me. It’s so annoying having to still be tied to her,” I complained bitterly.

“How is the situation with Isabel?” He asked and I sighed.

“You haven’t been able to speak to her?”

I shook my head. “I don’t even know, Last week I tried to speak to her but she didn’t want to and it seems like she has. another man in her life. I don’t even know.”

“So that’s it? You’d give up on her?”

“I honestly don’t even know what to do. I honestly don’t know what to say because I was the one who broke her heart. I looked into her eyes and rejected her. I left her on the day of our wedding of course I’m not expecting it to be easy,” I stated.

“And you keep thinking about all of that then you won’t be able to do anything. You didn’t do any of that because you wanted to. What you did four years ago was for her benefit. You didn’t do it because you wanted to YG but because you had to so that reason should be enough for you to be able to approach her and make things right, Raymond lamented.

He was right.

“What if I’m too late?”

“Unless you speak to her, you’d never know,” he replied.

“Four years ago you did what was best. I of all people saw it all and I know how damaged you’ve been for years because of that decision you made. You can make things right again,” Raymond placed his palm on my shoulder.

“What brings you here?” I asked Raymond.

“The club owner wants to meet tomorrow night if possible so I came to ask if you’d be available for it,” he replied.

“Yes I will be available for it,” I replied.

“Are you sure? I heard the club owner used to be a rogue and isn’t someone who does business without risk?”

“You don’t have to worry about that. Just let me do my job while you watch and learn,” I replied.
