âLetâs stop, now, okay? Before she gets hurt,â Carlos said flatly.
As things escalated, a crowd began to surround them. Later, the security guards dispersed the
onlookers under the managerâs orders.
That was when Debbie noticed Piggy had her arms around Carlosâ neck.
She didnât seem to be held against her will at all. So Debbie started to calm down.
âIâm sorry, Carlos. I was too worried. Please give back my daughter,â she said, trying to be as nice as
she could.
When Debbie finally calmed down, Carlos set Piggy down gently. He looked at the little one and said
tenderly, âGo to your mom, now.â
Piggy didnât let go of him immediately.
âUncle Carlos, will you come to our house?â
Sensing the girlâs unusually deep attachment to him, Carlos was confused. He didnât answer Piggyâs
question. Instead, he looked at
Debbie incredulously, who had just thrown a tantrum, and wondered, âIs she using the girl to get back
together with me?â

Evelyn.â Then he turned to Piggy.
âEvelyn, this is my card. Call me when you want to see me. Then Iâll send someone by to pick you up,
okay?â
Piggyâs tearful face broke into a smile when she heard this. She took the card and gave Carlos a peck
on the cheek.
âThanks, Uncle Carlos.
Iâll call.â
âGlad to hear it. All right, I have work to do. Bye.â
âBye-bye.â Piggy waved her hand and went to her mom.
