Chapter 1090
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âTime to eat, old man!â
Then she came to the kitchen to wash some fruits. Piggy Looked at
Carlos quizzically.
âWhy does Mom call you âold man?'â
Carlos stroked her hair and answered, âBecause Iâm older than your mom.â
âThat is a good question. Iâm not that much older than her, â he thought, confused.
Shaking his thoughts away, he went to the bathroom to wash up. Then he held Piggyâs hand and led
her to the dining room.
âEvelyn, donât you want any?â
Piggy shook her head.
âUncle Carlos, Iâm full. Just eat! The wontons are yummy!â
There were two bowls on the table, one for beef and noodles and the other for wontons. Carlos found
the layout rather strange. âNo veggies?â
Nevertheless, he picked up the chopsticks and began to eat the wontons.
The wontons were small dumplings, with a shell of thin dough, and minced fish inside. Piggy hated
meat, but she would sometimes eat fish if Debbie insisted. The wontons were mainly for Piggy, so the
girl at least got some kind of meat in her.
âI love this!â Carlos praised in his mind.
He polished off the wontons in just a few minutes and even slurped up all the soup. He wasnât full,
though
Looking at the empty bowl in front of Carlos, Piggy said cheerfully,
âUncle, you Like wontons?â
Carlos nodded, âYeah. Itâs yummy.â Then he started on the beef and noodles.
Debbie walked out of the kitchen in an apron, holding a plate filled with a variety of sliced fruit.
âHere, Piggy, have some fruit with
Uncle. I bought your favorite cherries.â
âThanks, Mommy!â Piggy got to her feet and shot towards the bathroom to wash her hands.
Placing the plate on the table, Debbie followed Piggy into the washroom.
âHold on, honey. Mommy turns on the tap.â
Watching their retreating figures, Carlos couldnât help but smile.
