Chapter 1138
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Stephanieâs cheerful voice came from behind Debbie.
âHow was it a waste of your efforts? Debbie, I ate all of it. I didnât waste a morsel of food you cooked.
And honestly, Iâm impressed by your cooking skills
But itâs a little too Light-flavored for me. Next time, please cook me some Lamb chop or beefsteak.â
âLamb chop? Beefsteak?â Debbie turned to her and sneered, âHow about some pork chop too?â
âPork chop? Hmm.I think some sweet and sour spare ribs would be better,â Stephanie said leisurely.
Debbie smirked.
âYou know, to get back at Carlos, each time I cooked, I purposefully left my hands unwashed after
using the toilet. I touched all of those ingredients with my dirty hands. So.it was you who had been
eating them, Stephanie? Was it really that delicious?â
Carlosâ face fell. Stephanieâs eyes widened in horror; she rushed straight to the bathroom and retched.
Taking advantage of their privacy, Debbie passed the gift bag to
Carlos.
â Carlos, you do know how to hurt a woman. I wonât bring Lunch for you anymore. I bought something
for you. Itâs not anything expensive. So, you could just toss it out if you wish.â

Saying that, she took the Lunch box and left his office.
Carlos opened the gift bag. There was an exquisite gift box inside it and inside the box was a ceramic
mug.
A cartoony picture was printed on the mug. The picture was an animated photo of Piggy.
Carlos held the mug and gently stroked the photo with his finger. He felt empty and lost.
When Stephanie came out of the bathroom, she saw Carlosâ gloomy face.
To appease him, she apologized in a tender voice, âCarlos, Iâm so sorry.â
He shot her an icy-cold glance. Emanating an overbearing aura, he warned her, âStephanie, donât mess
with my private affairs. I donât want to see this happen again.â
His cold warning sent a chill down her spine. She fixed her eyes on the mug in his hand and said,
âWeâre engaged now, and sheâll get married very soon. I just wanted to make her give up on you
completely. Itâs for her own good.â
âGo back now. You donât have to personally come here to handle this work.â Carlos put the mug away.
Stephanie tried to change his mind.
âBut this project is important
âLet Frankie handle it.â
She nodded helplessly. After taking a breath to maintain her cool, she said, âGot it.â
When Carlos was finally left alone in the office, he took out his phone to text Debbie.
