Chapter 1141
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Now that she has chosen to marry another man, maybe she has really made up her mind to give up on
Carlos completely.*
So she said sarcastically, âDoes your silence mean that you have no feelings for her? Well, fine. Forget
it. After all, you love Stephanie so much and youâre engaged to herââ
She stopped mid-sentence when the woman next to her pinched her arm.
She quickly said, âOh, Iâm so sorry, Carlos. Iâm such a blabbermouth.
Stephanie is such a good match for you. She can work alongside you in business and whatever.
Please cherish her. Goodbye.â After ending the call with him, Kasie looked at her friend angrily.
âYouâve put in so much effort into this. Why are you marrying Ivan?â
Pretending to be nonchalant, Debbie shrugged and said, âIvan is nice to me. I wonât feel Like Iâm
inferior to him in any way, and there will be no more bitches or homewreckers. So why not?â
As Debbieâs best friend, Kasie knew that it was all a bluff. Besides, her eyes were swollen red. Either it
was because she had some serious eye problem or she had been crying too much.
The answer was obvious.
Kasie rolled her eyes and sighed helplessly.
âOkay, okay. As you wish.
IâLL support you regardless of whatever decision you make
Debbie held onto Kasieâs arm and rested her head on her shoulder.
âBuddy, will you be my bridesmaid? Itâll be so humiliating if I donât have a bridesmaid for my wedding. I
just need you by my side.
âNo way,â Kasie refused without any hesitation.
âWhy not?â
âYouâre not marrying the man you love the most. Why should I be your bridesmaid at such a wedding?â
Debbie pouted.
âBut. If I donât have a bridesmaid, itâll be embarrassing.â
âYes. So, stop the wedding. Donât get married.â
âDonât get married? You want me to simply watch Carlos and Stephanie show off their affection for
each other every day, and let them anger me to death?â
Kasie let out a long sigh. There was no use arguing with Debbie. She had made up her mind.
After having dinner at Kasieâs house, Debbie went back to her apartment. The moment she opened the
door, she saw the cloud of smoke swirling in the air, and it instantly covered her nose. She coughed a
few times.
âHas something caught on fire? Oh God! Did I forget to turn off the gas?â she thought anxiously.
She ran to turn on the Light and when the room was fully lit, she was surprised to see a person sitting
on her couch.
