Curtis pulled out his phone from his pocket and asked Niles, âShould I call her or send her a video-call
request?â
Niles looked at the others as he felt even more confused. âHow am I supposed to know?â âSend a
video-call request?â he stammered.
âI better call her. Maybe sheâs asleep,â said Curtis as he scrolled down his contact list.
Niles suddenly noticed that Carlosâ eyes were fixated on Curtisâ phone this whole time, and he
immediately understood where Curtis was going with this.
âWhy not call her first? If sheâs awake, you can send her a video-call request,â he said.

He dialed Debbieâs number and put his phone on speaker mode.

It was around 11 p.m., and she was still at work.
