Chapter 1330
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Kasie was struggling to sit up but Ivan pinned her down again.
âKasie, listen. Itâs not what you think. Debbie and I are just friends.â
âI know you arenât in love. But Letâs do this right. Wait until youâre divorced.â Truth be told, she was so
moved to hear his confession of love. She didnât need to hide her true feelings from him anymore.
But she knew that she didnât want to rush into anything either.
Especially sex.
However, Ivan didnât think the same way. He wanted her now.
Helpless, his voice thick with passion, he Lowered his head to nibble her earlobe and whispered,
âListen!â
âYes?â
âWeâre not really married.â He blurted out the truth.
âWhat? How?â That was the last thing she expected to hear. Kasie was stunned for a moment, but then
she said with a smile, âNo way. Stop kidding around.â
He raised his head to stare into her eyes.
âIâm not kidding.â
The sincerity in his eyes was so evident that Kasie stammered, âBut⦠but Debbie never told me that.
Iâmâ¦her best friend. Why didnât she tell me? Besides⦠I came to your wedding. Andâ¦Carlos walked
her down the aisleâ¦
âYeah. We tried to do the ceremony. But Debbie got nabbed by the cops before she could say âI do.â
We arenât actually married.â
Angelaâs Library
âBut⦠You guys got the Licenses. Everythingâs official.â After she dropped these words, she suddenly
remembered something. Debbie had once showed off her marriage license.
Kasie took one look and replied casually, âNice. But honestly, you and
Ivan donât look Like an item. You and Carlos look better together.â
Then Debbie smiled mysteriously and swung the marriage license in front of her and asked again,
âGuess how much we paid?â
Kasie rolled her eyes at her.
âThink Iâm an idiot just because Iâm single? Everyone knows itâs 9.90 here. Next youâll be telling me
theyâre spun from gold.â
Debbie said nothing back but just smiled.
Now remembering their conversation, Kasie started to piece it together.
She widened her eyes in shock and looked at Ivan, who was smiling blissfully.
âThe marriage licenses are fake too?â
Pecking her cheek, he said, âAlways knew you were a smart cookie.â
