Chapter 1388
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
This was torture to a man with such strong sexual drive.
He was well aware of Debbieâs intentions. She knew his desires for her, and she deliberately set this
rule to make him suffer.
Carlos shut his eyes tightly to compose himself. After a momentâs pause, he reluctantly nodded,
âOkay.â
He got off her and went straight to the bathroom for a cold shower. His thirst for her remained
unquenched.
Watching him walk away from her with his head down, Debbie felt her heart ache a little. She wanted
him too. She was craving for his touch as much as he did. She wanted to call out to him and take back
her words. But a voice rang in her head, âNo, Debbie! Donât be so soft-hearted!â
Right⦠She couldnât go easy on him this time.
That night, Carlos did behave. He slept quietly with Debbie curled up in his arms. He remained the
same for the following week in France, and didnât dare be intimate with her, except for the deep kisses
they shared time and again. He patiently waited for Debbie to wrap up her work in Paris. Then, they
flew back to Alorith together.
The black Bentley sped along the highway from the airport. Debbie received a call from an unknown ID.
She picked it up and was surprised to hear Wesleyâs voice from the other end.
After a simple greeting, Wesley said, âDebbie, I owe you an apology.
Angelaâs Library
When we meet next time, Iâll apologize to you face-to-face. But right now, I need a favor.â
Debbie squinted at Carlos, who was playing with their daughter.
âGo on.
âDid Blair ever contact you in this past week?â
Debbie replied, âNope. Iâve been in France for work. What happened to
Blair?â
There was only silence from the other end. A few seconds Later, Wesley said in a grave tone, âSheâs
gone. It has been a week.â
âGone? What do you mean? Where did she go? Did she leave on her own?â
Debbie asked, abruptly sitting up in her seat.
âAsk your husband.â With that, Wesley hung up angrily.
Debbie stared at Carlos in confusion. Before she could ask anything, he said calmly, âI helped Blair
Leave him.â Wesley had arranged a few bodyguards to protect Blair, and to prevent her from leaving.
But
Carlos had some men block those bodyguards and let Blair flee successfully.
âWhy did you do that?â Debbie didnât understand his intention. Werenât they supposed to be good
friends?
Carlos replied casually, âBlair wanted to leave him for so long. I only offered her a little help.â That was
just one of the many reasons.
Carlos meant to force Wesley to understand his own heart. Wesley would never know how much he
cared for and Loved Blair if he didnât lose her once.
But of course, he had a selfish motive as well. Debbie had suffered through the same pain. Carlos
wanted to give him a taste of that sadness.
