Chapter 1391
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
He sighed resignedly.
âBlame you?â
Suppressing her laughter, Debbie pretended to be indifferent.
âYes, blame me. Youâre good at holding grudges. Let go of me. I want to get out.â
The car had arrived at the manor. Debbie got out first. Then Carlos carried the sleeping Piggy out and
caught up to her.
The housemaids grabbed the suitcases and carried them into the villa.

As they walked inside, Debbie gently patted the little girlâs back and said, âPiggy, baby⦠Weâre home.
Wake up. Grandmaâs here.â
Miranda knew they were coming home today, so she was waiting at the manor.
Piggy slowly opened her eyes. She Looked at Debbie and swept her gaze around the house with her
sleepy eyes. In a haze, she called out,
âMommyâ¦â But then, she cradled her dadâs neck and went right to sleep again.
Blame it on the jet lag-the little girl seemed really drowsy. Carlos said, âLet her sleep for a while longer.
Iâll put her to bed upstairs.â
Debbie nodded in agreement.
Miranda asked in a low voice, âHow long has she been asleep? If she sleeps now, sheâll be up all
night.â
âA hair over ten minutes,â Debbie said as she changed into her slippers and walked into the Living
room with Miranda.
âOkay then. Let her sleep.â
After tucking his daughter into the quilt in the kidsâ room, Carlos came downstairs. He told Miranda,
âDebbie and I arenât having dinner at home tonight, Mom. Get the chef to cook up something for you
and
Evelyn.â
Miranda nodded and asked casually, âGoing out?â
âTonight is Barlow Astonâs one-hundredth birthday. Weâre invited to his party,â he said matter-of-factly.
Debbie looked at him in surprise.
âHey! You didnât tell me that.â
âWould you have come if I did?â he retorted.
She was wordless. And he was right. If he had told her about it, she would have just had him drop her
and Evelyn off at her apartment.
âBut why are you so sure IâLL go now?â
Ignoring her question, he shifted his gaze to the housemaids standing by.
