Chapter 1468
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âOf course itâs right.â With his hands in his pockets, Carlos looked down at James with resentment.
âBut it wasnât you who had taken care of me, but Grandma.â
Perhaps it was because Carlos wasnât his biological son that he seldom took care of him. When Carlos
grew up and began to earn money, all that
James did was take advantage of him and take money from him.
James felt uneasy now.
âCarlos, youâll pay for what you did,â he cursed angrily.
âNow youâre paying for what you did,â Carlos said indifferently.

Unable to stay calm any longer, James began to plead, âCarlos, let me go. After all, weâve been father
and son for so many years.â
âFather and son?â Carlos repeated the words sarcastically.
âThen what about Lewis?â
At the very mention of Lewis, Jamesâ eyes widened in terror.
âNo! You canât hurt him! Youâve already sent him abroad. He has nothing to do with this. Please leave
him out of this!â James had a son and a daughter. His daughter had gone insane because of Carlos.
James couldnât afford to see Lewis get hurt as well.
âLet him go? Okay, but what about my wife? After all that youâve put my wife through, I must get back at
you today.â Carlos grabbed Debbieâs hand and led her to stand before James, who was still lying on the
ground.
âIâve already apologized to her. Isnât that enough? What do you want?â
James spat.
âHuh?â Carlos sneered.
âBefore we came here, we ran into several assassins. Donât tell me it has nothing to do with you.â
James clenched his teeth and cursed inwardly, âA bunch of idiots! I spent so much money, yet Carlos
hasnât gotten a single scratch on him.â
âIs there any way that you would let me go?â
âLet you go? Will you do as I say?â Carlos asked, his face deadpan.
âYes, I will!â James nodded without hesitation. âWhere there is life, there is hope, â he thought.
Too lazy to expose his true thoughts, Carlos said with a raised eyebrow, âKneel and apologize to her!â
âWhat?â James instantly flared up, his face as red as a tomato. Even his eyes were red as if he was
going to explode.
âIf youâre not willing to, fine, thenââ
Iâll do iâ James sat up and swore in his mind, âHow dare Carlos force me to kneel before that trollop! I
swear one day Iâll chop his legs off!â
