Chapter 155
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Chapter: 156
When she entered the living room, Julie was opening the gates for
Carlos. Debbie ran towards him and called out, âHey! Old man.â
Carlos turned around, waiting for her next words.
Julie giggled and said, âDebbie, why did you call Carlos âold manâ? I thought a young girl like you would
address your husband as Honey.â
Debbie flushed scarlet with embarrassment. She tugged on Julieâs sleeve and Julie instantly got her
point.
âAh, you have your own sweet words to address him, donât you? Iâm going to the kitchen now,â Julie
said with a sly smile.
Debbieâs face turned redder.
After Julie had left, Debbie gathered up her courage and asked, âCan I go out this afternoon? I have an
appointment with my friends.â
The reason she dared to skip yesterdayâs Yoga class was that the Yoga teacher was hired by Tristan
and she didnât have Carlosâ phone number
That meant the Yoga teacher couldnât tell Carlos she was not attending classes. The dance teacher,
however, knew Carlos. Debbie didnât dare to skip the dance class as she was afraid that the dance
teacher would report to him. This time, she decided to ask for his permission first.
âFriends? Who?â Carlos asked in a low voice.
Debbie sighed and answered, âJared, Kasie, Kristina and Dixon.â As a straightforward person, she had
many friends, while the four people she had mentioned were her best friends. They always hung out
together
âI think youâd better keep Jared at armâs Length,â Carlos said coldly.
Judging from what had happened last night, he could tell that Jared would just add fuel if Debbie
started a fire. Jared and Debbie were both short-tempered. If Carlos had not been in the club last night,
both of them would have made things worse.
âWhat? Why did he ask me to stay away from Jared?â Debbie asked herself silently as she was
confused by Carlosâ statement.
Carlos raised his wrist to check the time.
âIâll arrange a private booth for you and your friends on the fifth floor of the Alioth
Building. You may have lunch there. Tristan will call you later.â
âHe agrees? Yeah! *
Debbie gave him a big grin and said, âThank you so much. Do you want me to buy something for you in
the mall?â Hardly had she finished her sentence when she regretted asking him. A rich man Like Carlos
would want nothing.
âYes,â
His answer came as a surprise to Debbie.
âWhat?â she asked, puzzled.
He leaned forward and said something in her ear before turning around to leave. Debbie stood still
where she was, stunned.
âOh! For goodnessâ sake! Why did he ask me to buy some underwear for him?â
