Chapter 1572
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âOkay, okay. Got it. We canât be relatedâ¦â
Niles complained as he began to walk away. Wesley and Blair silently stood there waiting for him.
Shortly, the car pulled up to the entrance of the inpatient department.
Wesley opened the passenger door. Without thinking much, Blair headed to the back door. Wesley
stopped her and said, âYou take shotgun.â
She caught a glimpse of the vacant passenger seat, and obediently, she climbed in.
And she literally climbed, bracing one foot on the running board and holding on to the handle on the
side. The vehicle was pretty high up.
Meanwhile, Niles jumped out of the driverâs seat and headed inside the building, where the air-
conditioner was blowing cool air. He waved goodbye to them from the entrance.
âGoodbye, Brother and
Sister-in-law!â
That was the second time he called her âSister-in-Law.â She shook her head.
âHey, Iâm notâ¦â However, Niles had already hurried inside. He didnât want to be around them in case
Wesley tried to punch him.
Embarrassed, she Looked at the sullen man.
Sulking silently, he sat in the driverâs seat and started the car.
âDonât mind him. Heâs an idiot, and has been since we were kids. Iâll teach him a lesson next time.â

âWhat? An idiot? An idiot made a speech on behalf of his school?â
Blair was confused. Was he trying to say there was nothing between them?
He skillfully turned the wheel and drove the car away.
âDonât worry about it,â she said.
âI know he was just joking. Heâs only a kid.â
Wesley gave her a sidelong glance.
âA kid? You guys arenât that far apart in age. You may be just a few months older.â
âA few months or a few years, heâs still younger. Heâs lively and carefree, like a child.â
Wesley said nothing, lost in his own thoughts.
When they rounded a corner, his phone suddenly rang. As soon as he tapped on the screen of the in-
car phone, a manâs voice echoed through the car.
âWesley, we have a priority alert. Need you ASAP.â
