Chapter 1635
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
While he was talking on the phone, he noticed Wesley come out of the room and walk to the window
too. Wesley stood next to Wacian and pulled out a cigarette from the pack in his pocket.
âForget it. Iâll call Niles if he wants to know that bad.â
Wacian felt confused by her unusual behavior.
âWhatâs wrong, Blair?
Youâre acting weird.â
âNothingâ¦â Blair stammered, not knowing how to make up an excuse. She wondered if she had been
so bad at hiding her emotions.
âThen just come to dinner. Six elders are waiting for you here. Kind of impolite, isnât it? So where are
you now? Iâll swing by and pick you up.â
Blair sighed inwardly. She was almost to the counter. The one ahead of her was paying. Yet, she had
no choice but to walk away.

âIâll get a cab. Whatâs the address?â
âOkay, IâLL text you. Be quick.â
After sending the address to Blair, Wacian happened to see Wesley Light a cigarette with a high-class
Lighter.
âNice lighter. A high-end brand of Hilton Group, unless I miss my guess. A gift from your mom?â
Wesley took a glance at his lighter. He put it back to his pocket and replied, âNo.â
âSo you bought it? You donât buy things just because theyâre cool. A lot like Dad.â Wesley and Adalson
held the same concept that buying luxurious goods was a waste of money.
Wesley didnât answer his question but changed the subject.
âYour cousin coming?â
âYeah. Sheâs kinda strange after returning from England. She might just be shy.â That was the only
reason Wacian could figure out. After all,
Blair didnât know many at the dinner.
Wesley said nothing. He smoked quietly.
After finishing his cigarette, Wacian stood by the window for a few more minutes to let the tobacco
smell fade. He then returned to the private room to talk with the elders.
Wesley was left alone in front of the window. He looked outside, contemplating the night scene of the
city while smoking one after another.
A few moments Later, a waitress led a young woman to the VIP room.
The room Adalson had booked was at the end of the corridor, by the window. So when Blair came near,
she saw Wesley smoking in front of the window.
Wesley heard the footsteps and tilted his head. Their eyes met. Blair hesitated a Little and then nodded
politely to him.
As she continued walking towards the door, she heard his voice.
