Chapter 1665
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Why else would she be there at this hour?â
Keith furrowed his brows. âBlair and Niles?â âThatâs not right,â he muttered as he turned to leave.
Back in his bedroom, Keith couldnât stop thinking about it. He tried closing his eyes, but sleep wouldnât
come. Eventually, he decided to call Wesley.
By then, Wesley had just finished his work. Surprised to receive a call from his grandpa in the dead of
the night, he asked, âGrandpa, why are you still up? Something happen?â
âIs Blair living in Nilesâ apartment?â Keith asked, cutting straight to the point.
âDamn Niles and his big mouth!â Wesley thought.
âYeah. She has just broken up with her fiance and needed a place to stay.â
Niles spent most of his time out of the country. Now that Blair had moved in, he wouldnât be using his
place even if he was back home. So

Wesley didnât think he needed to explain anything.
But that was exactly why his family had gotten things so twisted
Keith hung up after hearing Wesleyâs reply. That night, he didnât sleep a wink.
He had never seen Wesley with anyone but Megan. Now that he had a thing for Blair, how could she
be with Niles?
Not that he was biased in favor of Wesley. Well, maybe a Little-when it came to relationships. Wesley
wasnât as romantic as Niles. So Keith was worried about him finding a wife.
He could tell that Wesley liked Blair. But he couldnât figure out why she was with Niles. He felt bad for
his older grandson.
Early the next morning, Keith called Wesley again.
âWesley, I have got the cure for your blues. The granddaughter of a friend of mine has just completed
her studies abroad. Iâve seen her picture. Beautiful. She has huge⦠eyes. I think youâll like her. Why
not come back home and meet her? A restaurant would be a better place than the army base.â
While the old man rattled on, Wesley had a bad feeling about this.
This was the first time his family had tried to fix him up. Some of his comrades-in-arms had been on
blind dates. They had told him that once there was a first time, there would be a second. Their family
wouldnât stop setting him up until he settled down.
âGrandpa, you know how busy I am. I have a few more years before I wilt even consider getting
married. If a great-grandson is what you want, fix Niles up.â
âItâs not him Iâm worried about. Youâve been single too long. Time to find someone to take care of you.
Come home. I can call your uncle
Adalson to ask a leave for you.â
Wesley felt a headache coming on.
âGrandpa, you told me that a man should be ambitious and driven, not confused by love.â
âThatâs true. I told you that when you were a teen. How old are you now? 26! And still single. Itâs time to
get a girlfriend.â
Wesley felt his grandpa was bossy. He seemed to have an answer for everything, and had to be right.
