Chapter 1675
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Thereâs nothing going on between your brother and me. Explain this to your mom tomorrow.â
âNothing going on?â Wesley smiled.
âWhy donât you explain it to her?â
âI did, but she didnât believe me. She barely even listened to me.â
Blair felt frustrated on thinking about it.
After a moment of silence, Wesley agreed, âOkay.â
Blair was relieved.
âOne more thing, now that you know Iâm not pregnant, can I move out now?â
Wesley grabbed her phone in her hand and typed something on the screen.
âIâve just saved my number on your phone. Call me if you need anything,â he told her when he handed
back her phone.
Blair stole a glance at Wesleyâs face as she took her phone from him.
Somehow she felt that he didnât want her to move out. But since he hadnât said anything otherwise to
make her stay yet, she was afraid that she might be wrong.
âI might never need it. After I move out, most probably, I wonât have a reason to trouble you anymore,â
she reminded him in a sad, low voice.
Angelaâs Library
It wasnât impossible that such would be the case. She had been out of touch with Wesley for a long
time after she had moved out of the
Hillside Apartments, just Like she had been out of touch with him after she had gone abroad.
Silence fell inside the car. She was waiting for him to say something.
But Wesley didnât. He started the engine, and the car ran through the exit of the apartment complex
with only its engine to break the silence. Even that hum felt like silence in the awkwardness of the
situation.
Sadness took hold of Blair, as if something was clutching at her heart.
She couldnât look at him, nor did she want him to see her sad, so she turned to look out the window.
For the first time, she really didnât feel like talking even though she was around him.
They arrived at the supermarket pretty soon. It wasnât that far through car. Blair unbuckled the seat belt
and was about to get out of the car when Wesley grabbed her arm and stopped her.
âThereâs an umbrella in the trunk. Wait here. Iâll get it
He got out and brought the umbrella from the trunk. Then he opened the passenger door and carried
Blair out of the car.
âAre you coming with me?â Blair asked, looking at him longingly. She wanted him to.
âYeah. I can help you choose. I know her likes and dislikes,â Wesley answered.
That made sense. As Ceceliaâs son, he sure knew her better than Blair did.
