Chapter 1689
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
The three of them arrived at Shining International Plaza pretty soon.
It was only then that Blair finally realized Cecelia had come to buy things for her, not for her two sons.
The excited mother led her to every single ladiesâ fashion stores, taking care that their collection was
suitable for girls like Blair.
In one of the stores, Cecelia asked a saleslady to get her a few dresses that fit Blairâs figure. Then, she
stuffed the dresses in

Blairâs arms and asked her to try them on.
âGo on then, dear.â
Looking at the clothes in her arms, Blair was confused and stammered,
âAunt, you meanâ¦I have to try them on?â
âYes, be quick, now. How else would we know which size to buy? Weâll wait for you over there.â Cecelia
pointed to the resting area a short distance away.
Blair had no choice but to follow the saleslady to the fitting room, the clothes piled on her hands Like a
mountain.
She picked a green shirt and a white skirt, and put them on.
âMeh, â she thought as she stood in front of a full-length mirror to see if they looked good on her. She
wasnât satisfied.
Just as she was about to enter the fitting room to change into another set, Cecelia called out, âBlair,
come here. Let me have a look.â
Blair then meekly walked to the resting area.
Wesley was browsing his phone. Hearing her footsteps, he raised his head to catch a glance. He did
not comment though, and moved his eyes back to his phone after a few seconds.
Blair was nervous. She wondered if the clothes didnât look good enough on her. Otherwise, why had
Wesley turned his eyes away so quickly?
Cecelia smiled.
âYou look good in this color. Itâs fresh and energetic.
Wesley, what do you think?â
Called out specifically, Wesley raised his head to look at Blair again
âGood,â he nodded. Then his attention was on his phone again.
âThatâs so perfunctory, â Blair thought unhappily.
She changed into the second dress. It was a long, black dress with a knot on the shoulder that looked
like a cute bow. She thought that it was quite fashionable but Wesley had the same, tacit response.
Cecelia asked her son again, âWesley, what do you think?â
He again gave Blair a quick glance and repeated, âItâs nice.â
