Chapter 1708
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Blair took a step back and asked, âThen what?â
Wesley gave her a smug smile and answered, âIâll make love to you so much you wonât be able to
leave the bed for three days.â He had Long wanted to do this. But his logic always stopped him.
Blairâs face was now as red as a tomato. [*|
When she heard what Wesley said, Blair secretly heaved a sigh of relief. She used to wonder if he was
gay. Now she was sure he wasnât.
Her cheeks burning red, Blair turned around and broke into a brisk trot to hide her shyness.
âWhat are you talking about? Sounds Like youâve given this a lot of thought. Like youâd worry about me
no matter what.â
âYouâre right.â Wesley didnât deny it. He would worry about her if she lived alone or even if she lived
with a female colleague.
âHe just admitted it! He didnât try to lie or play it off!â Blair thought.
âIf Hartwell says anything, donât tell him we live together,â she said.

âThat depends,â
Wesley said with a shrug.
The two drove to a nearby shopping mall. They proceeded to the food court, and at Blairâs suggestion,
they went in on a three-sauce simmer pot-a shareable hot pot with herbs and juices from 10 different
types of vegetables, seasoned with rice wine, sesame oil, and soy sauce. They got to choose the
meats that went into it, and his selection was beef with enoki mushrooms, while she wanted frog legs. It
all smelled so delicious they couldnât eat it fast enough. After that, they went to the department store to
buy pans, dishes, scrubbies, detergent, Lamps etc., to set up the apartment.
On their way home, Blair got a call from Cecelia. She touched down safely in her home country and
Baldwin picked her up from the airport.
âYou must be tired now, Aunt Cecelia. Get some sleep,â Blair said ina soft voice.
âSure. Hey Blair, are you with Wesley now? Can you tell him I got home alright?â
Blair was at a loss for words for a bit, and didnât know whether she should tell her the truth or not. Then
she looked at Wesley and answered honestly, âYeah, we just had supper. Iâll let him know.â
âThanks, Blair. Get him to take you back home. You need to go to bed early too. Iâll call Niles and ask
him to check on you tomorrow.â
âNo need for that, Aunt Cecelia. Iâll call him myself,â Blair said hurriedly. âMaybe I should ask Niles to tell
his mom the truth.â
âALL right. Goodbye, Blair.â
âBye, Aunt Cecelia.â
After hanging up, Blair called Niles.
âHi Niles!â she said.
Upon hearing that, Wesley cast a meaningful look at her.
âHey sis-in-Law. Whatâs up?â Nilesâ cheerful voice came from the other end of the line.
âWhat? No, Iâm notâ Never mind. Iâm calling to tell you that your mom probably needs to be
straightened out on our relationship. I told her a couple times, but she didnât listen.â Blair felt rather
helpless.
