Chapter 284
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Only the servants in the villa also greeted Debbie, âMrs. Hilton.â
The others were stunned upon hearing their companionsâ greeting and immediately Looked to see the
girl in Carlosâ arms. âWhen did Carlos get married? How come this news did not reach us?â they
thought.
âMrs. Hilton,â they followed, anyway.
Debbie nodded, feeling a bit awkward. After noticing what they were doing, she turned to Carlos and
asked in confusion, âCarlos, whatââ
He put her down, grabbed her hand and led her to a rack where several pieces of clothing were
hanging.
âSorry, I forgot to ask them to send your winter clothes here. Check these ones out. Do you Like them?â
he asked.
It completely escaped him that Debbie needed clothes. Usually, his assistant, Zelda, took care of
matters like these. It was not until he saw her blood-stained pants that he realized what he overlooked.
He swore to himself that he would pay more attention to his wife in the future.
âThere are so many racks with at least dozens of pieces of clothing.
Are all of these for me?â Debbie wondered in awe.
âYou bought me so many autumn clothes last time. I havenât even gotten to wear some of them. I donât
need new clothes; itâs a waste of money and resources,â she said. She felt as if she were in a boutique.
Carlos didnât respond. While Debbie was skimming through her options, he started pointing at pieces
and ordering, âThis, this, this⦠Put them into my wifeâs wardrobe.â
âNo, wait! I havenât tried them on yet!â Debbie exclaimed, grabbing one of the pieces.
âI donât have a perfect figure so I need to try them on first to make sure they Look good on me.â
Carlos grabbed her hand to lead her to the second floor.
âYou wonât be able to try all of them on in hours. Thatâs too much trouble.â Then, he turned to one of the
servants and ordered, âPut all of them in Debbieâs wardrobe.â
âHow will I know whether they fit if I donât try them on? Itâs too wasteful,â she protested.
âI wonât get back to it next time,â Carlos replied.
âWhat?â Debbie asked, confused.
âIâll ask the store to send fewer clothes next time. Why donât you accept all these clothes for now?â
Carlos said indifferently. Debbie nodded obediently. But Little did she know that the clothing store would
send her even more clothes the next time. And there were already many new clothes in her wardrobe
that she hadnât had the chance to wear.
One day, Julie came upon Debbie who was about to throw a down coat into the washing machine. She
ran hysterically towards her and grabbed the coat from her. She looked shocked beyond belief.
âDebbie, this coat is worth more than a hundred thousand dollars and it requires special treatment. We
should call the laundry service to take care of it.â
Debbie was too shocked to utter a single word. More than a hundred thousand dollars? For a coat?
She was dumbfounded by how much money rich people spent on clothes.
âCarlos spends his money left, right and center!â she thought .
