Chapter 327
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Carlos politely pulled his arm free from her grip and stroked her hair dotingly.
âEvery time you see Tabitha, you ignore the rest of us,â he said.
Megan made a face playfully and walked back to Tabitha.
âOf course.
Tabitha loves me the most in the whole world,â she declared proudly.
Carlos held Debbie tighter and didnât respond.
Debbie stood there numbly, hands in her pockets. Feeling Carlosâ tightened embrace, she squeezed
the fabric hard, a choreographed smile stuck on her face.
It was never in her personality to be as amicable as Megan. Socials and flattery were not her strong
suits. She wondered if Tabitha was disappointed in her already.
âLetâs go inside,â Tabitha said, turning.
But before she could take a second step, Megan grabbed her arm and exclaimed, âAh! Tabitha, Iâm
sorry I forgot about my friendâs son. Heâs in my car. His mom had a last-minute meeting. She asked me
to babysit him, but I really wanted to see you so I brought him here instead. I hope you donât mind.â
With that, she stuck out her tongue awkwardly.
Hearing that there was a kid in the car, Tabitha said to the bodyguards hurriedly, âLet the kid out of the
car. Be quick.â
Once the door of Meganâs car was opened, a boy in a blue down jacket jumped out. He wore a black
knitted hat and carried a toy gun. At the sight of the group of adults, he held the toy gun up and yelled,
âHands up! Or Iâll blow your heads off!â
Carlos frowned at the boyâs rude words. Inexperienced in dealing with kids, Debbie wondered if she
should cooperate.
Only Megan put her hands up and said, âKing Jake, please spare me. How about I take you inside to
have some delicious snacks?â
Hearing that there were snacks, the boy put down his toy gun and dashed towards the house as he
shouted, âGo! Charge! Everybody, charge towards the food!â
Quickly, he was in the villa and out of everyoneâs sight.
Megan acted as if there was nothing wrong with the boyâs behavior. Or maybe she was used to it.
Without a word, she held Tabithaâs arm and helped the smiling Lady into the villa.
Debbie, on the other hand, thought, âIf my and Carlosâ son was that naughty, I might strike him every
day.â
At this point, her husband whispered in her ear, âI think we should have a girl.â
Debbie blushed. She replied as she followed him inside, âDidnât you say you wanted a boy?â
âIâm afraid that I would end up hitting him every day,â he said.
Debbie burst into laughter. No doubt that they had a special connection.
Her smile made Carlosâ day.
