Chapter 333
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Sensing the hint of anger in her tone, Carlos knew that he had better come up with something nice to
say.
âBad or good, I love your temper,â he told her with a smile.
She brightened up at his words.
âHmph, this sounds much better. Never mind. Since he is just a boy, Iâll let it go,â she declared.
Carlos looked at her dotingly and said, âYouâre such a pushover
âMom saw everything. What if she thinks I am too petty and doesnât Like me anymore? That is a loss I
canât afford,â she explained. Between tens of thousands of dollars and a mother-in-law who liked her, of
course, she would go for the latter.
âRelax. She wonât think that of you,â Carlos assured her.
When they arrived downstairs, Tabitha was chatting with Megan. The culprit Jake was watching TV
while holding a bag of snacks, as if nothing had happened.
âAh, Debbie, there you are. Come and sit next to me,â Tabitha said, patting the seat next to her.
The look on her face was as amiable as it had been before the mess, which relieved Debbie a little.
Everything seemed calm. Debbie decided that it was best to let the whole thing go and move on.
Carlos, however, thought the contrary. He sat down and immediately asked Megan, âHow long is it
going to take?â
âWhat?â Megan was confused.
Carlos threw a sideways glance at the boy who was watching a cartoon, and remained silent.
Megan realized what he meant. She was embarrassed.
âUncle Carlos, I havenât made the call yet. This is all because of some beauty products.
Can we justââ
She tried to explain and make the whole thing go away. Also, she was not used to seeing Carlos all
cold and firm.
ALL her friends knew how much the four richest young men in Alorith indulged her.
However, Carlosâ face darkened before she could finish her sentence.
âMake the call now!â he demanded impatiently.
His unexpected anger made Meganâs face turn hot. He had never been mad at her before. Mortified,
she bowed her head and took out her phone from her bag.
While she was looking for the boyâs momâs number from her contacts,
Debbie turned to Carlos in confusion and asked, âDidnât we agree to let it go? â
Carlos looked at her and replied, âYou said you would let it go. I didnât.â
He wouldnât let anybody offend his dear wife, not even a boy, especially one who Lacked discipline.
