Chapter 339
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âFor now,â began Tabitha, patting her hand, âall you need to do is study hard. As for cooking, you donât
need to do a thing while you have
Julie around. Sheâs a terrific cook. Even if you could cook, Carlos wouldnât be willing to Let you cook for
him.â
There was no need for any woman in the Hilton family to learn cooking, unless she took it up as a
hobby. They could learn it if they were really fond of cooking, but if it wasnât something they were
passionate about, it wasnât a necessary skill. After all, they would never Lack servants.
Carlos chimed in, âNo one knows a son better than his mother.â
To which Debbie made a phony reproachful glance. Tabitha and Julie couldnât help but chuckle.
By now, everyone had forgotten about the little drama theyâd had with
Jake.
However, the familyâs happy moment together was interrupted to Debbie, when the gate to the villa
opened again and Megan walked in. The smile on Debbieâs face vanished. Tabitha waved at Megan
and asked, âHas everything been dealt with?â
Megan came over to Tabitha and with a guilty look said, âYes, everything is okay. Uncle Carlos, Aunt
Debbie, Iâm really sorry for what has happened. I promise that such a thing wonât happen again.â
Nodding to her promise, Carlos suggested, âMom will cook this evening.
Why not stay and have dinner with us?â
His dinner invitation suggested that he had forgiven Megan.
Megan turned to look at Tabitha with an intimidated expression as if asking for her permission.
âPlease stay here for dinner,â Tabitha said with a smile. Whenever Tabitha had come here to visit her
son in the past, Megan would have dinner with them. It was normal for the mother and son to ask her to
stay.
âYeah. Thank you, Uncle Carlos. Itâs been a whole while since I last ate Tabithaâs delicious food.â
Thrilled, Megan jumped to her feet, held Tabithaâs arm and took over Julieâs notebook.
Feeling frustrated, Debbie bit her lower lip. To be honest, she could feel Tabitha liked Megan very much
and treated her like her own daughter.
âIâm going to cook fried crab with pepper, seaweed soupâ¦â Tabitha began to tell them the dishes she
was going to cook. Then she turned to
Debbie and asked, âI heard from Julie what your favorite food is. So
Iâve considered your liking too. But just in case, kindly let me know what else you guys would want to
add to the menu
Debbie shook her heard immediately.
âNo, thanks, Mom. Of course, what youâve selected will be just perfect for me. Maybe, if someone else
would want something extra.â
âOkay,â Tabitha nodded.
Then Carlos went to the study to work, Tabitha went to her room to take a rest, and Megan followed
after Tabitha, claiming that she wanted to have small talk with her. Left with nothing to do, Debbie
chose to go to her bedroom.
In order to kill the time, she began to clean the dressing table.
Suddenly, she received Kasieâs message on WeChat.
