Chapter 423
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âSure, Carlos. Goodbye.â The manager always made a fuss whenever Carlos was around.
On their way out, Carlos and Debbie had to bear the greetings from several hotel staff passing by.
When they finally left the hotel, she heaved a long sigh of relief.
Somehow, Carlos was not happy with her reaction. He cast a sideways glance at her and asked, âYou
feel ashamed of being with me, donât you?â
âNot again! Iâve told him a dozen times.â Debbie was exasperated at the stupid thought but decided not
to act it out. She grabbed his arm and told him with a sweet smile, âHoney, could you please wait until I
graduate first? Iâm not mentally prepared to live under Limelight just yet.â
Then she added playfully, âYou know who you are-the great Carlos. Itâs quite a big thing to be your wife
and sometimes, stressful too.â
Carlosâ heart went soft at her words, but he managed to maintain a straight face.
âBehave yourself. Donât hang onto my arm Like that,â he demanded frivolously.
âItâs all your fault! My Legs are killing me. I am not the one to blame,â she snapped back playfully. If it
werenât for her rumbling stomach, she would still be tormented by this old goat.
Carlos couldnât maintain his long face any longer, and his eyes reduced themselves to slits in his
affection.
âWhat do you want to eat?â he asked in a soft voice.
âI donât know. Iâve never been to this city before. Letâs Look around and find something good to eat.â
She suddenly remembered that one of her cousins was a freshman in some university in this city, but
she didnât know the exact address.
She took out her phone from her pocket and asked Carlos casually, âHey, do you know Yeim Film
Academy?â
âYes,â he responded cautiously.
âDo you know where it is?â
âAbout a couple of miles from here. Why?â
Debbie was elated at the news. She dialed a number and told Carlos,
âIâd like you to meet someone, okay?â
âYou know someone here?â he remarked in surprise.
âUh-huh. A cousin of mine.â
The call went through, and a girlâs voice came from the other end.
âDeb, you finally remember me, huh?â
Debbie was thrilled to hear Sashaâs voice again.
âSasha, Iâm in Yeim.
Are you available right now? How about we have dinner together?â
Sasha, 19 years old, was Gailâs sister and Debbieâs cousin.
