Chapter 465
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
He shrugged, then continued, âBe home late tonight.â
âCanât you do it tomorrow?â asked Debbie. It was already 9 p.m. He worked late every day. She was
worried.
âI have work to do tomorrow too. If I donât finish up today, Iâll just have more work to do tomorrow. Iâll
leave work as early as I can, okay?â he explained with a smile and then kissed her forehead.
She nodded.
âOkay then. Donât be out too Late.â
The car came to an intersection after it left the underground parking lot. There was a traffic jam. The
Emperor slowed down. Debbie looked out the window while Carlos was on the phone talking to
Emmett.
Suddenly, she noticed some people pushing each other at the entrance of
Alioth Building. There were men and women. The woman in a black overcoat looked familiar, though.
After she pushed a man and turned around, Debbie saw her face.
The woman in the black overcoat was none other than Kasie.
Lewis was there, grabbing Kasieâs arm. Portia was standing nearby with a man and a woman.
Debbieâs gut feeling told her that something bad happened to Kasie. She turned to Carlos and said
anxiously, âI have to get out there. Go on ahead, Carlos. You need to get to work.â She was about to
open the car door, but he stopped her
âWhatâs going on? Why the rush?â Carlos asked in confusion.
âI think Kasieâs in trouble. I need to check on her.â Anxiety was written all over her face.
âLocation,â he said shortly.
âWhat Location?â
âKasieâs Location.â
âOh, sheâs at the entrance of Alioth Building.â
âCall me if you need help,â Carlos nodded.
âSure. Come home early after work.â
After Debbie got out of the car, the traffic light changed to green
Carlos started the Emperorâs engine.
âCall Ralph Hobbs,â demanded Carlos.
Ralph was one of Carlosâ subordinates, the general manager in charge of
Alioth Building.
âYes, Carlos,â answered Emmett.
