Chapter 475
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Portia trembled with anger at Lewisâ remarks. With red eyes, she pointed at him and shouted, âDammit
Lewis! Youâre cancelled! Iâm telling my mom to call off our engagement.â
Debbie had guessed right-Portia and Lewis were about to get engaged.
âWhatever.â Lewis shrugged and got into the car. Seeing Debbie remain motionless, he urged, âHurry!
Get in the car! You donât want her bitch cooties, do you?â
Portia broke out into curses.
âLewis, youâre an asshole! Everyone in your family is!â
Debbie, trying hard to suppress her giggles, got into the back seat.
Lewis was not angered by Portiaâs words.
âMy family? Does that include
Carlos?â
Portia stopped as soon as Lewis mentioned Carlos. She cast a murderous glance at Debbie and
threatened through gritted teeth, âDebbie, just wait and see.â
With a wide grin, Debbie clapped back.
âOh, donât forget to tell your brother-I kicked your ass and cut your hair.â
âYou!â Portia was too angry to utter a complete sentence.
The car soon drove off, leaving Portia behind. Her Long fingernails dug into her palms, leaving deep
marks.
At the Hilton Group
Lewis and Debbie made a beeline for the CEOâs office. Most employees didnât know Debbie, but they
knew Lewis.
The elevator came to a halt on the 66th floor. Staring at the closed door of Carlosâ office, Lewis nudged
Debbie forward and said, âRemember our arrangement. You go in first.â
Debbie was dumbstruck. âSeriously? Youâre really afraid of Carlos, arenât you? I can understand why
Jared is scared of Carlos. But youâre his cousin! Besides, heâs not that scary!â she thought to herself.
There were only two people in the secretaryâs office-Emmett and Zelda.
Zelda stood up from her seat and greeted Lewis, âLewis, good evening.â
She was quite surprised to see Debbie.
Lewis leered at her, and a wolf whistle escaped his lips.
âZelda, youâre as hot as ever.â This was a common thing-Lewis was a shameless flirt.
âStop it,â Zelda complained, her face reddening. She sat back in her seat.
Emmett came up to them and told Lewis respectfully, âLewis, Carlos is waiting for you.â
