Chapter 606
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âTake care of Megan for me, okay? I need to deal with my wife. You know, sheâs tough.â
âYou donât want my baby, so you simply took the birth control pills.
You think that will do? Certainly not! Youâll have my baby if I want you to!
I wonât let you go that easily.
You donât like Megan. Fine! I get that. I can ask Wesley, Damon and
Curtis to take care of her, â Carlos mused.
Upon hearing that, Wesley furrowed his eyebrows.
âDid you fight because of Megan?â he asked.
âNo, thatâs not it. She doesnât want to have my baby,â answered
Carlos. âAnd she hasnât completely cut off relations with her ex.â But that was too embarrassing for
Carlos to admit in front of his buddies.
The rest of them were rendered speechless.
Curtis walked towards the wine cabinet and took out a bottle of red wine. He poured everyone a glass
of wine and asked casually, âDebbie is still a student. Itâs not a big deal if she doesnât want a kid now.
Why fight about it?â
Damon nodded and patted Carlosâ shoulder.
âDoes it bug you that Iâm going to be a dad first?â
Carlos cast a murderous glance at him and said coldly, âFuck off!â
Delicately holding two glasses of wine, Curtis walked towards his buddies.
âIâve managed to bring only one extra glass,â he said while taking a sip from the glass in his right hand.
Then he placed the second glass on the desk before them and added, âWhoever grabs this first will
have it. The rest of you can fetch your own.â
They all took it as a joke. Since when did they have to compete for a glass of wine?
But even before he loosened his grip, Damon grabbed the glass, went to the couch and said casually,
âWell, seems Iâm the Lucky one.â Then in the same casual manner, he sat next to Megan and offered
her the glass.
âLittle angel, you can have this,â he said with a sideways glance at
Curtis.
âHey, are you trying to impress her with the wine that Iâve just brought for you? Shame on you!â Curtis
reprimanded.
âThank you, Uncle Damon, but I donât feel like drinking.â Megan declined his offer politely. She sat with
her fingers interlocked under her chin, seeming very preoccupied.
âYou were fine just a moment ago. What happened?â Damon asked curiously.
Casting a pitiful glance at Carlos, who was still smoking, Megan complained, âAunt Debbie doesnât
seem to like me. She even had a fight with Uncle Carlos over me. I feel so sadâ¦â
