Chapter 655
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âNo. Itâs just a meal.â
She liked him, at least what she saw so far. âIt wouldnât hurt to have a meal with him, â she thought.
Gregory called over a waiter and handed Debbie a menu.
âGet whatever you want. Itâs on me.â
His serious expression amused Debbie.
âI have a big appetite. Iâm afraid you might burst into tears when you see the bill,â she teased.
Gregory replied with a laugh, âI saw how you packed it away at Southon
Village. I donât think you have a big appetite at all. I probably eat more than you.â
As if she didnât want the waiter to hear her, she covered her face with the menu and approached
Gregory whispering, âIâm a hundred percent sure
I have a bigger appetite than you. Once I ate more than ten dishes dining at the Alioth Building.â
Back then, Carlos was having dinner with his business partners on the fifth floor of Alioth Building. He
called her over, and ordered a full table of dishes for her in another private booth. Although the dishes
were small, there were still more than ten. Even Carlos, a tall and strong man himself, was unable to
finish them alone.
After bidding goodbye to his partners, he went to her booth and was shocked to see sheâd polished
them off. He gave her a thumbs-up, sincerely convinced.
âShh-shush!â Debbie shushed Gregory with a forefinger to her Lips, embarrassed.
Suddenly, an idea struck Gregory. With a cunning smile, he offered,
âHow about this? If I eat more than you tonight, you owe me a meal.â
âOkay. Why not?â Debbie agreed without hesitation. She thought it an interesting game.
Gregory took another menu from the waiter and said, âHow about we order the same set menus, just to
make it fair?â
âFine with me. But Colleen hasnât arrived yet.â Debbie began to read the menu.
âDonât mind her. You know what? Sheâs always Late.â Gregory was used to
Colleenâs tardiness.
Debbie burst into laughter.
âAre you throwing shade at Colleen right now?â she joked.
Gregory was about to say something, but he lost his voice when he saw someone.
Debbie saw his change of expression and asked, âWhatâs up?â She turned her head to check what
made Gregoryâs smile disappear.
A man entered the restaurant, followed by a woman in a long beige coat.
