Chapter 694
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
âCome here!â
Debbie was not afraid of him-she was boiling over with rage. She wanted to ask him whether he had
been with Megan the past week.
âWhat do you want with me now? You can do whatever you want, but you deprive me of my lawful
rights. Donât you think itâs unfair?â
Carlos looked her in the eye and retorted, âIt is not your Lawful right to hang around with other men.â
Staring defiantly at him, Debbie snapped back, âMy husband is cheating on me, while I am left to stay
alone at home. I canât live like that!â
âStop your nonsense! When did I cheat on you? I was just hanging out with my friends.â
âHanging out with your friends?â Debbie sneered.
âMr. Loftus has brought his fiancee along. Wesley is with his girlfriend. Damon has come alone. You are
the only one who is here with your mistress. Shame on you!
The rest of them were at a loss for words. Even Damon, who was hostile to Debbie most of the time,
had nothing to say to her now. He wasnât stupid enough to correct Debbie at the moment to tell her that
he had also brought a woman with him. What if she snitched on him to his wife? So, he chose to ignore
her comment.
Both Wesley and Blair were embarrassed by Debbieâs words; their faces had gone tomato red. Wesley
really Liked Blair. He felt a tingle when
Debbie mentioned that Blair was his girlfriend, and didnât want to refute her.
Curtis and Colleen always had Debbieâs back.
But the man whom Debbie cared for the most only had time to lecture her.
âItâs Megan! Not my mistress. Stop making trouble out of nothing,â he snapped.
Megan was the apple of Wesleyâs eye. He pretended to be ignorant of the fact that Debbie was
referring to Megan as Carlosâ mistress, and chipped in calmly, âDebbie, thereâs obviously been a
misunderstanding.
Carlos didnât bring any mistress. He came with Megan.â
Debbie, however, turned around to face Wesley and said in a cold tone,
âWesley, you are the one who has misunderstood. I AM talking about
Megan. Iâve underestimated this girl. I didnât expect that she would be able to keep my husband to
herself for seven whole days. She is really something! I shouldnât have taken her lightly.
â People in the booth were dumbstruck. They admired Debbieâs guts-she not only dared to argue with
Carlos and Wesley, but also had no qualms in speaking ill of their beloved Megan.
Colleen and Blair were thrilled-Meganâs true colors were finally being exposed. Blair looked at Debbie
with admiration. âDebbie is my idol from now on!â she swore to herself.
Wesley looked at Blair and saw the look in her eyes. He didnât understand why she was staring so
intently at Debbie. âI really know next to nothing about women, â he thought with a sigh.
Megan was fuming inside. But she was a good actress, and so, she quickly managed to squeeze out a
few drops of tears and explained weakly, âAunt Debbie, thatâs not true. I didnât know that Uncle Carlos
hadnât been back home in a week.â
Emmett put in a good word for his boss as well.
âDebbie, Carlos has been staying in the company for the last week.â Emmett was telling the truth.
Carlos hadnât seen Megan in the past week at all. It was Damon who had decided to take her to their
gathering to cheer her up.
