Chapter 787
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
He opened the car door and stepped out.
âMr. Thomas, I made some dinner for you. You must be over-worked and exhausted overseeing both
the Thomas Group and teach in school. I took care and made something very nutritious; beef, eggs
and broccoli. I hope you like it,â Kaya said, holding the pink box out to him and expectantly waiting for
him to accept it.
However, Marcusâ expression was one of impatience. He was tired of girls constantly pestering him.
âMr. Thomas,â Derek called in warning, coughing lightly and motioning to the side.
Marcus looked in the direction he was pointing and saw Millie standing and watching them with a book
in her arms.
Marcus suddenly felt nervous.
Even in the distance, he could feel the anger in Millieâs eyes.
âIâll leave you now, Mr. Thomas. Remember to eat the food,â Kaya said and pushed the box into his
hands before running off.
Marcus looked at the pink box, feeling like he was holding a pot of hot potato.
âThe box is beautiful. It should contain delicious food,â Millie said as she came over.
Marcus pushed the box into Derekâs hands. âGet rid of it.â
Angelaâs Library
Derek nodded and headed towards the trash can.
âI didnât want to take it. She forced it into my hands and ran off,â Marcus said.
âYou are free to do whatever you want,â Millie said with a shrug. Then, she turned back and left.
Marcus followed after her, asking, âSweetheart, what would you like for dinner?â
â?âm not hungry!â she answered coldly.
âHow about âBuddha Jumps Over the Wallâ?â suggested Marcus.
Buddha Jumps Over the Wall!
Millie abruptly stopped. She could almost smell the delightful fragrance of it drifting towards her nose.
Everyone praised the expensive dish.
âFine. Where are we going to get it? I want to grab a bite before bed, if not I wonât be able to sleep.â
Marcus chuckled at Millieâs words and took her to the opposite restaurant.
The restaurant seemed to be very popular. It was full at this time with no seats available, but luckily,
Marcus had asked Derek to make a reservation beforehand.
