Chapter 796
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Graceâs arrival was swift; her animated greeting was accompanied by a fan to quell the heat.
âI told you to take your time,â Millie commented.
âWell, Iâve missed you. I canât help but hurry,â Grace responded. âYou mentioned youâre attending
classes at Preagend University. Whatâs up? Are you pursuing postgraduate studies there?â
Millie shook her head, Launching into an account of recent events. Graceâs reaction was a sly grin.
âWow, your husband is taking on the role of your teacher. Howâs that feel? Do you get to nap in class?â
âItâs quite the contrary, actually. Heâs quite strict, and Iâm afraid to make the slightest mistake.â
âWhat? Heâs strict with you too?â
âYes.â Millie confirmed.
Speaking of studying, a quiet longing resided within Millieâa hope to one day settle down and return to
her studies.
As they sipped their cool drinks, Graceâs gaze slid to Millieâs flat stomach.
âYouâve been married for a while. Why hasnât your belly shown any changes?â
A N G E L A âs L I B R A R Y
âWhat do you mean? Is there something wrong with my belly?â Millie inquired.
âI mean, why havenât you conceived yet? Is there a health issue? Iâll be happy to go to the hospital with
you when I have some free time. You need to have a child for the Thomas family soon to secure your
position,â Grace explained.
âWhen did you become such a busybody?â
Millie chuckled, taken aback. Sheâd encountered numerous prodding questions about pregnancy. What
was the hurry, she wondered?
âDo you and Marcus sleep in separate rooms?â Graceâs tone turned serious, expressing concern for
their well-being.
âWell, sort of,â Millie admitted.
Millie held no secrets from Grace, revealing that she and Marcus hadnât yet been intimate.
Grace appeared baffled.
âThatâs odd. Youâre a beautiful woman, and he canât be uninterested. Perhaps youâre dressing too
conservatively. We should buy some alluring lingerie. I guarantee itâll spark his interest.â
Rubbing her forehead, Millie pondered. When had Grace become so forthright?
After lingering in the dessert shop for a while, Grace couldnât contain her enthusiasm, dragging Millie to
a shop specializing in intimate wear.
