Chapter 855
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Iâm so unlucky to be in the same class as you. Itâs impossible for me to study when I see you. You ugly
girl!â
That was always his chant. Then, on the way home, he would throw rocks at her and keep shouting for
her to get out of the town.
Millie hadnât forgotten even a second of her past. Every detail was ingrained in her mind.
She ignored the hand Roland held out to her and smiled at the old woman in front of her.
âJoan, how are you doing?â
Joan paused and looked at Millie in confusion, as if trying to figure out who it was. After a while, her
eyes went wide in realization. It was Millie!
Angelaâs Library
âMillie? The Little girl who used to wear a mask all the time? You are so beautiful! I couldnât even
recognize you. Oh, Iâm doing very well. What about your grandmother?â
Joan was now so excited talking to her.
âGrandma has recovered quite well. She will back in a few days.â Millieâs grandma and Joan were best
friends. They Lived close to each other and often helped each other. When Grandma had to go to the
city for treatment, Joan held her friendâs hand with Love and told her sheâd be waiting for her to come
back.
âThatâs amazing news. Iâm so Lonely here without her. Having no one to talk to, I look forward to her
return every day.â
Roland stood there, listening in on their conversation. He stared at Millie in disbelief. How could this be
the same ugly girl he used to despise and ridicule?
He was told that she had scars all over her face.
Or was he mistaken?
âAre you really Millie?â Roland was finding it hard to believe.
When Millie glanced briefly at Roland, the smile that was on her face fell.
âJoan, Iâm going home,â she said warmly to the old woman, acting as if Roland was invisible.
âSure. Come over for dinner, okay?â Joan invited warmly.
Despite the fact that he was just brutally ignored, Roland shamelessly chased after Millie until the door
of her house.
âMillie, I had no idea you were so beautiful. Why did you have to hide this behind a mask? It made me
think you were ugly. You know what? Come to my house for dinner tonight. Iâ11 ask my mother to make
a good meal for you.â
In a bored tone, Millie said without looking at him, âDonât do that. Please, go away. Iâm going in now.â
Roland didnât move. He stood in place and just stroked his chin, admiring Millieâs face and thinking of
how to get her. The whole family would be proud of him if he got a beauty like her.
âI know I shouldnât have called you all those names in the past, but you canât really blame me.
Everyone said you were ugly and I believed them. I apologize for my mistake. Can you please be my
girlfriend? Like
