Chapter 945
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Even so, Emerieâs discontent remained. How did someone as unassuming as Millie end up marrying
the most captivating man?
âWhereâs Rosie?â
Nancy found it odd that she hadnât seen Rosie around.
âShe went out this afternoon. If she had known you were back, she probably wouldnât have left.â
Meanwhile, at Preagend University, Rosie had located Kaya. She had dug into Kayaâs background and
discovered her yearning to infiltrate the Thomas Group.
Moreover, Kaya had set her sights on Marcus.
When approached, Kayaâs brow furrowed. âWho are you?â
She didnât recognize the woman in business attire.
âYou neednât concern yourself with that. Iâm aware of your infatuation with Marcus and your aspiration
to join the Thomas Group. Unfortunately, you ranked fourth, missing out on a great opportunity.â
Kayaâs eyes widened in astonishment and disbelief.
âYou investigated me?â Kayaâs voice dripped with both embarrassment and anger.
Rosie shrugged indifferently. âThere is no need to be defensive. Iâm here to offer you a second chance.â
After a brief pause, Kaya asked cautiously, âWhat chance?â
âShare your phone number with me, and Iâll provide you with Marcusâ dinner plans. Since youâre smitten
with him, you can likely guess my intentions.â
âAre you asking me to seduce him?â
Rosie nodded, her gaze appraising Kayaâs appearance.
âIndeed. Do you believe youâre inferior to Millie?â
This ploy instantly ignited Kayaâs determination.
âMillie is nothing but a loser. Iâm certainly more worthy than her.â
âVery well then. Await my message.â
When Marcus returned home, he spotted Millie seated on a bench in the garden, her gaze lost in the
distance.
âThe evening is setting in,â Marcus remarked.
Millie shifted her gaze towards him. His hand was nonchalantly nestled within the pocket of his sleek
black trousers, his eyes engaged in studying her.
