Chapter 990
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Three minutes later, the two women both stood behind the door, trembling from fright. Through the catâs
eye, Blair could see Wesley ringing the doorbell again and again.
Suddenly, the ringing stopped. Then the two women heard two men talking.
Debbie knew that it was Carlos.
She opened the door swiftly. True enough, there stood Wesley and
Carlos.
The door was only slightly open, just enough space for one to peek out.
âOh, Wesley, there you are. What brings you here? Are you here for me?â
âBlair, come out, now!â Wesley demanded loudly, as if he were talking to a clumsy assistant.
Debbie rolled her eyes at him. âAm I invisible? Can he not see that Iâm here?â
Blair Listened carefully as she hid behind the door trying to figure out what was going on. Then she
discreetly snuck into Debbieâs bedroom.
Wesley impatiently pushed the door open and stormed in. In the tiny, quaint living room stood only
Debbie and Harley. It smelled of a freshly cooked meal.
âWesley, Iâm having dinner. Would you like to join me?â Debbie asked him.
Wesley fixed his eyes on the closed door of her bedroom. Debbie began to feel nervous so she hastily
said, âWesley, why are you looking at my bedroom? Iâm single, you know. I might get the wrong idea if
you keep looking at my room Like that.â
Carlos, who remained in the doorway, frowned at this.
Wesley ignored her and stalked towards her bedroom. Debbie pulled
Carlos inside and urged, âHurry, youâre on the clock! Iâll love you even more if you can handle Wesley.
Heâs about to trespass your womanâs bedroom. Are you okay with that?â
Wesley already had a hand on the doorknob and was just about to push the door open, when Carlos
called, âWesley.â
Wesley Looked back at him, bewildered.
âItâs not polite to walk into a womanâs bedroom without her permission.
I guess there isnât a bathroom in Debbieâs room. Blair will come out eventually. Why donât you just wait
and eat for now?â
This wasnât the kind of help Debbie had been expecting. âDid he come here to help me or Wesley?â she
wondered to herself.
After shooting Debbie an icy cold look, Wesley went to the bathroom to wash his hands, and then
walked into the dining room.
Debbieâs jaw dropped. âHe sure has no problem making himself comfortable now.â
What surprised her even more was that Carlos did the same thing. He sat opposite Wesley.
âLadle the soup,â he said to her.
