Chapter 17
Mrs. Gibson, Your Identily Is Exposed
Chapter 17 Handle Affairs Justly
Susie took a look at the woman in red and said, âJessie, I have something to talk to Mr. Gibson.â
Susie then fixed her eyes on Murray.
Jessie? Melissa thought this name was a bit familiar.
Melissa remembered that Jessie was the head of the design department of the branch of the Gibson
Corporation. Melissa heard Jessie was appointed as the head of the design department at such a
young age because Jessieâs family had connections with the Gibson family for many years.
âI am also reporting something to Mr. Gibson. Ms. Hodgson, donât you know what âfirst come, first
servedâ means?â Jessie said with dissatisfaction.
Murray leaned back slightly. When he saw Melissa, he frowned.
Murray thought, Didnât Melissa call me this morning and tell me she had something to take care of?
Why does Melissa look so wretched now? Why did Susie drag Melissa here in anger?
Murray handed the design draft to Jessie and said, âGo and modify it again.â
âOK, Mr. Gibson,â Jessie nodded and took the design draft over. Jessie stood aside but did not go out.
âWhatâs up?â Murray said with a sullen face.
âMr. Gibson, Melissa is absent for no reason today. I will never allow such a rebellious person to stay in
the Secretary Department,â Susie said.
Susie thought, It is rumored that Mr. Marc forced Murray to get engaged to Melissa. Not only does
Murray have no feelings for Melissa, but he also hates her very much. If I can take the opportunity to
help Murray chase Melissa away, Murray will look at me with new eyes.
âShe asked for leave from me,â Murray played with the pen in his hand and said,
Susie was stunned. She opened her mouth, but she didnât know what to say.
Susie thought, Isnât it said that Murray hates his fiancée from the countryside? Why does he speak up
for her?
Murray loosened his tie a bit and said somewhat impatiently, âWell, you all get out.â
Susie and Jessie turned and walked to the door. Melissa cleared her throat and said, âSusie, wait a
minute!â
âWhatâs up?â Susie stopped and said.
âArenât you going to give me an explanation for what happened last night?â Melissa asked.
Susie asked, âWhat happened last night?â Susieâs eyes flickered unnaturally.
âYou deliberately said you wanted to send me the data and asked me to stay in the company to work
overtime. In fact, there is no data needed to be dealt with,â Melissa narrowed her eyes and said, âyou
deliberately asked me to wait for you at the company all night. Shouldnât you give me an explanation?â
Susie didnât expect Melissa to tell what happened last night in front of Murray. Susieâs expression
changed, and then Susie pretended to be calm. Susie said, âMelissa, what are you talking about? I only
asked you to go home after you finished your work yesterday. When did I say that I would send you
data? You must have misheard!â
Melissa had already expected that Susie would not admit it. Melissa calmly took out her phone and
pressed a button.
Then Susieâs voice came from the phone. âI just received a call from Mr. Kelsey. He said that there is
still a set of data that needs to be added to the document. I will go to the company to give it to you now.
Just wait for a moment.â
Susie didnât expect Melissa to have recorded what she said last night. Susie bit her lip and wanted to
refute. Susie said, âMr. Gibson, itâs not like that. Donât believe Melissa. Actuallyâ¦â
Melissa interrupted Susie with a faint smile, saying, âMs. Hodgson, are you going to say that this
recording is fake? Do you think I found someone to synthesize it? You will know if it is true as long as
you find an expert to appraise it.â
Susie looked embarrassed. Susie had originally planned to say that the recording was fake and that
Melissa had wronged her, but after hearing what Melissa said, Susie didnât know what to say.
Susie thought, What if Murray really finds an expert to appraise it?
Susie tried to figure out what to say. When Susie was about to say something, Murray said in a deep
voice, âApologize to Melissa.â
Melissa was a little surprised. Melissa originally thought that things would not go so smoothly. After all,
Susie was an old employee of the Gibson Corporation, and Murray hated Melissa.
Melissa thought Murray was not a person who could not distinguish right from wrong.
