Chapter 45
Mrs. Gibson, Your Identily Is Exposed
Chapter 45 Melissa, Go to Hell
Murray did not want to admit that he was attracted to Melissa.
Melissaâs voice, smile, and face lingered in Murrayâs mind.
On the way Murray drove back home, he called Jane asking for Melissaâs schedule. Jane told him ·
Melissa hadnât come back yet.
It was late and dark outside. Melissa must work overtime. Worrying about Melissa being alone in the
office, Murray drove to the Gibson Corporation.
The office was empty. All Melissaâs colleagues left. Only Melissa was still busy working.
Staring at the computer screen, Melissa was engrossed in spreadsheets when's shadow came over
her.
âWho is it?â Melissa raised her eyes warily.
Murrayâs handsome face came into her view. He wore a white shirt with cuffs rolled up. The light leaked
from the ceiling, creating a shining glow on his head. He looked like a Greek God coming out of air.
âMurray, why are you here?â Melissa was surprised.
Murray smiled gently, âIâm here to see how the âIce and Fireâ is going.â
Melissa was confused. Lady Vogue was indeed the key project of the design department, but the main
business of the Gibson Corporation was not jewelry. There were many more important projects than
Lady Vogue. No matter how important the project was, it should be reported to Murray by his
subordinates instead of coming here to check by himself.
But Melissa did not have the right to question Murray, she said, âEverything is going well. I am checking
the labor and financial input for mass production of âIce and Fireâ.â
âReally? Let me take a look,â Murray required.
âOkay.â Pointing at the computer screen, Melissa explained, âThis is the report sent by the
production department. Iâm checking it nowâ¦â
âAlright.â Murray walked around the desk and stood behind Melissa. He leaned over, one hand on the
table, and the other around Melissaâs back, a finger pointing at the computer screen. âThis column
should be more specific.â
They were so close as if Melissa was in Murrayâs cuddle. And Melissa could even smell the tobacco
minty scent on him. Her heartbeat went faster.
âIâll ask the production department to supplement the data tomorrow.â Melissa stiffened and turned to
him.
Melissaâs eyes met Murrayâs; she blushed. âIf you do not have other problems, Iâll get back to work.â
âItâs very late. You can do it tomorrow. Iâll take you home.â Murray raised his hand to see the watch.
It was ten in the evening.
âI donât like to leave todayâs work to tomorrow.â Melissa refused.
âAlright.â Murray nodded but stood still.
âYouâre not going to supervise my work here, are you?â Seeing that Murray did not move, Melissa was
embarrassed.
However, Murray raised his eyebrows and said in a formal tone on purpose, âIâm here to watch your
work. If you have any problem, I can correct it immediately.â
What the hell! Melissa plastered a fake smile and thought; but Mr. Gibson, you donât have to cling to me
to do the supervision! She quickly turned off the computer and said, âForget it, Iâll check it tomorrow!â
Murray headed up and looked at Melissa with a cunning smile. âDidnât you say you were going to finish
todayâs work?â
Melissa quickly picked up the handbag on the table, stood up, and walked towards the door. âNope! So
tired today.â
âGo back together!â Murray chuckled and strode forward with his long legs.
Melissa was speechless.
They arrived at the underground garage. Murray was about to open the car door when a figure rushed
up under the dim light and pulled Murrayâs arm. âMurray, I finally got you!â
Melissa recognized it was Susie.
âSusie, why are you still here? I didnât want to see you again! Get lost!â Murray pulled his arm out of
Susieâs grip in disgust.
âMurray, please donât fire me.â Susieâs eyes were red, and tears poured down. âPlease donât fire me!
Even if you ask me to be a dustman⦠Please allow me to stay in the Gibson Corporation. Let me stay
with youâ¦â
Murray interrupted her impatiently, âTold you to get lost. Do you hear me? You work for your own
needs, against our companyâs interests. People like you will never be recruited again in my company.â
âMurray, I was wrong!â Tears welled up in Susieâs eyes. âI shouldnât have done that. But I was wrong
only because I loved you so much. Murray, Iâm begging you. Donât fire me! You donât know how much I
love you. Iâd do anything to accompany with youâ¦â
Murray frowned, and his handsome face was full of disgust and impatience.
Could Susie stop doing that? Murray was about to call Alex to ask security guards, driving Susie away.
Melissa took a step in between and sneered. âSusie, Murray doesnât want to see you. Is it so interesting
to pester him shamelessly?â
âMelissa, why are you here?â Susieâs attention was only on Murray. She hadnât realized the one by
Murrayâs side was Melissa. Now, hearing Melissaâs scoff, Susie was jealous and furious.
âIâm with my husband. Anything wrong?â Melissa deliberately held Murrayâs arm.
Murray smirked and also gently touched Melissaâs hand on his arm. Melissa felt the warm touch of
Murrayâs fingertips then blushed. Melissa wanted to play a âdramaâ to drive Susie away. But Murray
was too cooperativeâ¦
Susie stared at them with an indignant gleam in her eyes.
âMelissa, you stole Murray! If it wasnât you, he wouldnât fire me; he would love me!â Comparing
Murrayâs tenderness to Melissa with his cruelty to her, Susie was sad, hopeless, jealous, and
resentfulâ¦
Susieâs delicate face twisted, then she suddenly took out a Swiss Army knife from her pocket.
Susie roared, âMelissa, go to hell!â
The sharp knife went straight towards Melissa!
